Suppose you had to pick between Kemba Walker and Damian Lillard for an All-Star team based on their play (and contribution to their teams' success) so far this season - who deserves it more?

You're gonna start a whole thread about this? The choice is easy.

I choose kembrictor walkeroski.

Wait what? Two american players? No overseas guys?

Ita damian lillard.

Stupid thread.

Not saying Lillard hasn't been great - he has, and he's our best player by miles. Just saying that Walker has also been great and his team is doing better.

I'm not even gonna answer the question

I'm just glad for Charlotte and their fans that he is finally paying off for them. But easily Damian

If I had to pick somebody..... you ask if I'd choose somebody...... over Dame?! (laughs hysterically)

6-3 with this schedule is seen as better than the blazers?

So, they've only lost to the teams expected to contend for the conference championship--by an average of 5 points--and they've beaten teams expected to be among the most improved in the league (Utah and Indiana).

I don't see why everyone insists on underselling what Walker is doing so far this season. He's been fantastic, and yes, arguably better than Dame. It's not an unreasonable question.

What a difference just a day makes:

And this is why small sample size matters.

The one thing where Dame is killing it, and Kemba can't even come close, is free throw rate. (IE number of FTA per FG attempt.)

Dame - 52.6%

Kemba - 37.8%

Dame is averaging 13.7 FTA per game.

Kemba is averaging 9.9 FTA per game.

Dame is currently averaging 12.5 points off free throws per game.

His 47% from 3 on 7 attempts doesn't seem sustainable. Crazy improvement though. I always saw him on the Brandon Jennings mold-- surprised he's gotten so much better.

I ask again... what do you expect with this? You can throw stats out on small sample sizes all you want, no one is going to suddenly go "OMG, I'm so stupid! Of course I think Kemba is now better! What was I thinking?"

How about: "wow, I didn't realize how well Kemba was playing this year! Maybe if I was a reasonable person I would vote for him for an All-Star over Lillard in the world where Charlotte and Portland are in the same conference."?

All Star contests are voted on on fairly small sample sizes by their very nature. But if that's too hard, how about if they were competing head-to-head for "PG of first sixth of the season"?

A much bigger sample size than right now, so I'll wait.

Oh, and Damian Lillard, and it's not changing. Sorry.

Sometimes I wonder why you're a Blazer fan.
