Kentucky clerk going to jail

Not that I'm for this chic doing this shit, but will local government put government officials in jail for not issuing gun permits? Aren't they both the same offense?

Crandc, I think calling her a bigot who thinks gay people are inferior is a bit ignorant. YOU aren't, but that statement may be.

I have many Christian friends who have ZERO problem with homosexuality. They just believe, as the Bible says, that marriage should be between man and woman. No, I do not want to get into that, just that believing the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman vs bigot who thinks gay people are inferior is a reach

This is an interesting issue because I'm curious if the people that elected her actually support her. Would she lose if an impeachment vote was put on the ballot? She works for her constituents, not the federal government, so I'm curious if she actually is representing the will of the people in her area? That doesn't make it right, but it's an interesting wrinkle.

And they are perfectly free to believe that. What they can not do is force that belief on others and that is what the court clerk is doing. She his putting her personal beliefs over the laws she was elected to enforce.

Ive never said differently

And THAT is why marriage should not be the recognized nomenclature of the contract between two people who want to enter into a union.

One is a silly ceremony where you swear before the bearded invisible man, and the other is an actual license from the government. Remove one from the other and voile! No more problem.

Should government officials that refuse to give gun permits be held to this same standard?

Link? I haven't heard of county clerks refusing to give gun permits to citizens who are legally allowed to get them. If that is happening then you bet your ass they should be held to the same standard.

Are you still fucking cats?

This is going to end badly for her.

Kentucky's clerk office are going to issue marriage licenses without the clerk.

Every citizen of the United States are legally allowed to these permits.

Whoa... that article is from Wed, August 14, 2013 so I have no idea how that turned out but yeah, I don't think high school students need to be bringing guns to school.

But what if it's a class on how to clean your AR-15? I could seriously use a class on how to disassemble and clean an AR-15. Have you ever tried to disassemble and clean an AR-15 because it's not an easy task to do if you've never done it before, believe you me.

As long as it's not on a high school campus I don't see a problem with it.

The question is, should government officials also go to jail for not issuing gun permits? They are breaking the law right? Definitely a moral issue about not bringing them to high school that is entirely debatable as the OP right?

So the first article is from 2014 and the 2nd one is from 2011, so what happened? How did it end?
Does it matter when? You ask to provide links. I did. Do those government officials deserve to go to jail for refusing to issue permits?

Why are you against teaching the children of America how to properly (and safely) disassemble and clean an AR-15? That just seems extremely careless on your part. Do you want them to try to figure out how to disassemble and clean an AR-15 on their own, without any supervision!?!

You monster....

I don't think its the licenses being issues, I think she is probably disgusted by homosexuality and having her name on a certificate recognizing gay marriages would be personally revolting to her. I doubt she feels superior, have you seen this ugly fucking slut, she isn't superior to my wrinkly ball sack.

Its the midwest, people are inbred fucking losers over there. People isolated from major metropolitan areas are usually fucked up like this since they really have zero culture or life experience.

Flyoverville be flyovin'! :MARIS61:

So what happened? Did a judge give them an order to issue permits? Did they? This doesn't need to be some fucking debate, we already agree. If a judge gave them an order to issue the permits and they refused they should be held in contempt of court. I have no problem with someone taking a stand and drawing attention to an issue. But once the courts get involved they need to follow the court's order.

I only looked at the first case you provided the link to, in reading it I think the sheriff was correct in his actions. Clearly more discussion needed to happen in that community. Now if the court told the sheriff to issue the permits and he still refused then yes, IMO, the sheriff should have gone to jail.

I never said that. I don't think the disassemble and cleaning of AR-15s should be part of a high school curriculum. Outside of school at a gun range is a proper venue and I would make such a class a requirement of the permit process. I am pro clean guns!

I'm asking if YOU believe they should go to jail, since you supported this lady going to jail. Who gives a fuck what happened to these officials? We are talking about officials that break the law because of their political or religious beliefs.

And I clearly answered that.
