Craig Smith has been efficient in the paint when we've played him. Kurt Thomas is hitting an insane percentage, I believe, with his midrange J. Unless people get hurt, I think we're fine with who we have.
You know Thomas can't keep that up. When Camby gets hurt, and he will get hurt during this season because they're playing games at an average of one every 46 hours, he stays hurt for long periods of time. So when Camby is taking his sweet time with an ankle injury, I'd rather not have to rely on Kurt Thomas, Craig Smith, or Chris Johnson. If we had a competent PF/C like Martin, we could spell Camby longer and more often during must win games thus lowering his chances of getting hurt and saving some energy for the 3rd night of a back to back to back. But I guess it comes down to how much you trust the back up guys we have.
