If asking about the definition of "woman" was that important and reasonable a question, they must have directed it to Trump nominees as well. Right?

I'll wait.....

First, Susan Collins, and now Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney.

Nice to see. I doubt this appointment will be anything like the Brett Kavanaugh debacle we slogged through.
Brett should never made it. Oh, not because of his youthful exploits but because of his bald faced lying about it. What a creep.

It didn't matter what Judge Jackson said. Republicans had decided in advance they would oppose her regardless. They were looking for sound bites for Fox "News" or campaign ads. They had no interest in her responses.
I disagree. They had an avid interest in her responses so they could search for ways to twist and stretch them out of shape to their advantage. In other words they are dirty no good skunk liars.

You're certain of that?

Senate votes 53-47 to CONFIRM Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first black female Supreme Court justice: Biden hugs his nominee as Kamala bangs the gavel to put her on the bench
  • Jackson, a 51 year-old federal appeals court judge, will be the first black woman on the high court and the third black justice
  • Jackson replaces liberal Justice Stephen Breyer, 83, who came under intense pressure from progressives to step aside and let someone younger step in
  • Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee aggressively interrogated Jackson over her sentencing record, particularly regarding child porn cases

Good

Congrats to Ketanji

Before you resort to the immature race card attacks as is the norm, and the only reason she was nominated and the only reason got in, Clarence Thomas is my favorite SCOTUS Justice, Alito 2nd, and the other 7/8 are disgraceful puppets needing to be replaced. I liked Ginsburg also, didn't like O'Connor so skip the sexism accusations.

It's my opinion that she's glaringly unqualified because she was patently dishonest and evasive throughout the entire hearings, clearly not familiar with some of the most important decisions the court has made that changed history and law in America, and somehow doesn't think child porn users equally share the guilt of the rapists who make the porn, giving them a slap on the hand and returning them to society which assures more children suffer and die. She made it crystal clear she's fine with that.

She's in for life, so don't get your panties in a bundle just because I think America deserves a more serious Justice on SCOTUS.
