On "The Starters," Brent Barry said that David Stern has left the league in good hands with "Durant, LeBron, Damian Lillard, and Chris Paul."

So great to see one of our guys mentioned like that!

Hmm... I love that he was mentioned, but I don't think he belongs on that list yet

Wow... he doesn't belong there just yet, but that doesn't take away the fact that he is even thought of at all with those other 3 in any capacity.

Now, all he has to do is live up to it. No biggie.

I love Dame but this is a classic case of "which one of these does not belong?"

Well, I didn't hear the quote, but I'm thinking maybe Brent put Dame in there to illustrate the future. LeBron and CP3 aren't exactly young anymore, and Durant is in his prime. Dame is one of those young stars just coming into the league. He could have thrown out Curry though.

Say what? "David Stern" is responsible for "Durant, LeBron, Damian and Paul"? WTF? How? I know Stern is responsible for gifting the Lakers championships in 2000 and 2002, and other travesties, but how is he responsible for the birthing or player development of those guys? Can someone help me here?

He allowed Bennett to buy the Sonics, let them tank on the backs of the poor Seattle fans for draft picks and then move them when we was ready. I'm really sick of hearing that OKC built their team the right way. Stern was complicit in the stealing of the Sonics.

As for Dame being on the list. I guess he belongs there since he's the last PG standing in the NBA not injured.

I never realized Durant was only 2 years older than Dame.

he could have gotten hitmen to take iron pipes to their knees tonya harding style before he left

4 players who are #1, #2, #3, & #42 in PER

one of these things is not like the other

Natebishop3 is right, and everybody else has their panties in a knot over nothing. Barry was talking about both established stars and young stars with a big upside, like Lillard.

In other words, the future is bright as Stern departs . . .

I'm sure he also didn't put much thought into who he listed off. He was probably just throwing out names that came to him and Dame was one of those guys.

this is crazy
