Is Love getting bought out? I thought I saw a report where the Cavs GM said they were going to keep him.

I don't see how a buy-out is beneficial to either side. Cavs have a good chance for a deep playoff run. Love is a better player than what they would find on the FA market right now. I don't see any incentive.

apparently the team in pursuit of him is miami.

0 reason for him to want to come to portland instead.

If you can get a veteran like Love that can hit a shot and add some size/rebounding for cheap you absolutely do that.
If they don't get pushed into the tax for him why not?
How many posters on here said they want Cousins? Whiteside? Noel?
Kevin Love brings everything any of those guys bring and probably more.

I never understood why this guy is such a bad defender. I get that every big man is not a shot blocker but why can't he rotate, help, stay in front of a man, etc. Seems like an effort issue the times I've seen him play. Typical jackass from Lake Oswego.

I know it was some time ago but sure played D when it mattered (when he wanted to?) against Curry to win a Championship.

I understand hyperbole, but let's not pretend that Love protects the rim like Whiteside and Noel.

Lets not pretend either of them rebound or shoot like Kevin Love
Hyperbole is not part of this equation. Lets not even bring up overall basketball intelligence where I would actually prefer Cousins but that probably isn't an option at this point?

You specifically said, "Kevin Love brings everything any of these guys bring". If he can't protect the rim as well as Whiteside or Noel, then he, by definition, does not bring "everything any of these guys bring".

I don't disagree that he's a better overall player than any of them, but the words you used, were, in fact, hyperbole.

I hate to say it, but we're not going to be competitive this year. He would help, and that's the problem. A veteran stretch four who can rebound? That's exactly what we need. However, winning shouldn't be our goal. We need another year in the lottery.

Kevin Love is perfect for a team like the Suns, who are cashing in their chips for this year.

Okay?
Does any player actually bring the exact same thing another player brings "By Definition"?

Wait. Don't answer that. I'll just agree with you.
You are correct.
