Kinda' saw this coming. He was sitting next to Bird at the combines.

Re: OT: KP

Good on him... I hear there's a player with one leg longer than the other for him to draft this year, too!

Bout time. I thought he was going to be swooped up much quicker, afterall he was such a hot commodity.

At least it can be said that Paul Allen first hires, and then fires guys who are respected by other teams.

Somebody at work told me today that KP wanted Durant and was axed, first I've heard that. True?

Stick to my opinions, not the Oregonian's.

Bird is effectively the real GM. Bird said a month ago that he didn't want either as GM and would look outside the organization. Morway was at the bottom of our list of interviews, "only if we have to." We'll see whether Pritchard earns the same low opinion that Morway did.

I highly doubt it. If true, he'd probably still have the job (the all important "golden gut" and all)

Really? Must have missed that one. Link?

I wonder if Cap Genius Tom Penn, Esq will follow.

kpee is a loser! what an idiot he drafted oden!

IIRC Wheels said to one of you guys that KP was a low-level scout and thats where he's was staying?

Penn will become the next GM in Orlando.

Yes I've heard that. Supposedly KP was rubbing it in Allen and others faces that he was right about Durant and shouldn't have been overruled at the draft. That wasn't the primary reason he was fired, but it probably contributed to Allen and others getting put off from his attitude.

I buy it.

I have no problem with hearing 5 years late that Pritchard was the only GM who picked Durant, but was overruled by anonymous evil forces. Another voice tells me that LaRue Martin was John Nash's fault.

...this charlatan Pritchard is very good at inserting self-love into the media for suckers to read.

This is the same thing i have heard, dont know, I was not there,.

I dont get all the KP hate on this board.

Where is all the "In KP we trust" posters?

I for one think he did a good job while he was here, with what he was given to work with. To blame him alone for Oden is a joke..

I wish him nothing but the best.
