Well, here we are at the most critical game of the series. Here is my take on what the team needs to do in order to close the series out.
1.) Weather the storm!
We all know Westbrook, George, and co. are not just going to lay down and take it tomorrow night. They will start hot, I wouldn’t be surprised if they took a 10+ point lead early, but like games 2 and 4 we must equalize or regain the lead by half.
2.) Play inside-out.
It would be wise to be aggressive inside the paint, the Thunder are going to be extra aggressive on both ends of the floor, use it against them. Getting easy baskets, breaking down the defense to get weakside kickouts or cutters, and getting to the free throw line (get their stars in foul trouble) should be the goal.
3.) Close quarters strong.
Quite an obvious one but, the Thunder are an emotional team, keep their roller coaster at a steady low pace if possible, don’t let them hold momentum like in game 3.
