The biggest one to me is shutting down Millsap.

In the games they lost, Millsap only scored 14, 17, and 17.

In the games they won, Millsap scored 24, 21, and 19.

In two of the three losses, he shot 26.7% (last night) and 43% (game 2). We need to shut him down. Last night he was totally off his game. We need to replicate that if we want to win.

In the games they won, Millsap shot

56%
60%
58%

This dude is the biggest thorn in our side. Not Jokic. Not Murray.

So, start Collins?

Evan and Collins have done the best job on Milsap. Harkless does okay when he's not committing dumb fouls. The problem with Harkless and Evan is currently on the offensive end. They both think that they're George Gervin with the ball in their hands, although i don't remember Turner taking a shot last night.

Make 3s.

Fun fact, Blazers lead the playoffs in 3 point percentage as a team at 37.4%. 3rd in makes too behind Milwaukee and Houston who both shoot more at a worse percentage.

We take and make more 3s than Golden State.

  • Limit Nuggets second chance points
  • Close out on shooters
  • Play Collins and Hood 32+ minutes

I would start Hood and Collins because I think if we can get out to a big lead at the start, they will crumble.

Not to be cranky, but the only key to game 7 was to win game 4 so that there was no game 7!

How on earth to believe we can win Game 7? For that matter, how did we win Game 6. You yourself said we have a "steaming pile of shit roster."

I think it's awesome that you're posting so many threads (you're obviously excited) but cut out the "shit roster" comments. It's just not true or appropriate.
I think you may be confused - This thread is where youre supposed to post your keys to Game 7.

Defense rebounding
Free throw makes
Got hold down one there 3 scores under 15
One of Harkless or Aminu must have a good game on both ends.
Bench gives us 30+

Limiting the turnovers was a thing of beauty yesterday. I didn't see anyone get stripped on a defensive rebound which was very encouraging

I like the fact that we know we are going to play the Warriors in the WCF

Keys...

1. We certainly aren't going to change the starting lineup, so make sure Hood and Collins and company are ready to impact the game when they hit the court.
2. Box out and secure the goddamn rebounds.
3. Play with more energy. Denver hustles, we need to hustle more.
4. Stay positive, unless that means angry Dame. I love angry Dame. But leave the refs alone.
5. I think the biggest key is we need a good game from Dame and CJ, and then there's less pressure on the other guys, like Seth and Rodney... (We can't let an off night from, say, ET, to torpedo the season.) An on night for the team and we are flying to Oakland shortly, an off night and it is going to be harder. When we play our game, we are unbeatable.
6. I could keep going forever, but lastly, is Stotts has to stay sharp. Throw different defenders at Jokic and Milsap, double, hedge, etc. Stotts has to keep it fresh and effective.

I'm delusionally excited. Go Blazers!

I put money on no starting lineup changes.

However i believe terry will have a quick trigger finger and both collins and hood get 25 plus mimutes.
