But really, I'm excited to see what major roster moves we see. Kiki obviously isn't afraid to shake things up, saw the value of Diop, and won't jump for joy when sub-mediocre FA's are available.

I think he had to much control in Denver. Here, he has to deal with Thorn than all the higher people as well who are a lot cheaper too.

Looking forward to maybe signing a decent FA now.

Unfortunately, no.

Kiki has exactly the same position Stefanski had. Kiki has been doing this job since he came to the Nets but they didn't make it official until today.

Kiki is a huge upgrade over Stefanski. This offseason should be a good one compared to what we are used to.

Admittedly, the bar is pretty low.

I think Kiki has more "courage" to make drastic changes. Also, I'm sure he learned from his mistakes and successes in Denver (ie. I doubt he'll give Diop a 90 milion dollar contract and trade up to #1 to draft Batum/Skita)

I don't see how anyone can say a guy who took Nikoloz Tskitishvili at #5 and Nene at #7 (within minutes of one another), gave KMart $92 million and Nene $66 million and was fired in Denver is a "huge upgrade" over Stefanski, who found Krstic at #24, Boone at #23 and Williams at #17. Finding good big men deep in the draft is something people here take for granted, but is as important a skill as you can find in a GM.

Missing on players Ilic at #43, Drejer at #51 is meaningless in the larger context of the draft.

NI, Kiki did not give Nene that contract

Nene signed that contract in July of 2006, after Kiki was gone from the Nuggets GM spot.

You are also forgetting that Kiki was instrumental in the color selection and style for the Nuggets uniforms, attended all dance team tryouts to help select the team and that he likes to manage the selection of in game entertainment.

I'm convinced Stefanski is as dumb as a post.

We'll just watch now as he actually makes a team built by Billy King worse and then we'll know for sure.
