Kim Clijsters struggled a bit while beating Alize Cornet of France 7-6 (3), 6-3 on Saturday to advance to the fourth round of the Australian Open.
The U.S. Open champion had dropped only four games in two straight-set wins this week. On Saturday, she had her service broken twice in the first set -- each time failing to consolidate her own breaks on Cornet's serve.
In the second set, the third-seeded Clijsters built a 3-1 lead before failing to hold her own serve in the next game. But this time, Clijsters held her lead, despite needing three match points over two games to advance.
"It was tough. She's a tricky player," Clijsters said. "During the match I felt like I was playing two different persons. I had to constantly move my feet and work harder."
