"It was tough. I did want to be the best Blazer ever. It wasn't some hoax or me just trying to, you know, sweet-talk the city. I did. But I felt like they were kind of in that middle role where they kind of wanted to make a change, kind of go a different direction. You know they definitely told me that they wanted me back, but kind of I felt like we both were kind of in that limbo. They wanted to go young. Damian is a great talent. He's going to be an All-Star for many years to come."

- LaMarcus Aldridge

He's so full of it. Yah I'm sure he left because the blazers wanted to go young.

If you could pin him down and knew he was being honest, leaving when you know your best isn't good enough is kind of noble, y'know? Save the franchise the pain of having you on a mediocre team for five more years.

Maybe in a decade we'll look back on Dame's career and find out LMA was the greatest Blazer because he sacrificed the opportunity to become the greatest blazer... Y'know?

This whole "best Blazer ever" shit always kinda bothered me. Fucking do something first.

Not to mention Lillard was joining him on the lead lap.

It's time for him to go away now. I'm over it.

Bye LA. I'm sad the way you left, but I won't miss you because it turns out you were kind of a little bitch. I hope you find what you were looking for, but not really, ya know?

Lillard/Leonard 2016.

Y'all need to stop being bitter at LaMarcus. He had a decision to make and we have to respect that.

Once Wes went down and we traded Batum it was fairly plain to see.

For him to try to sell it as the team going in a different direction is complete bullshit. If you believe Neil, and I do, then they ran every decision by LA. They even had two separate plans: one that included LA and one that did not. He's trying to make it out like he was doing us a favor. He is the one who has been leaking all this bullshit. First the rumor that Neil told him to say those things last summer, and now this?

So you think that even if Wes doesn't go down LA still leaves?

I think if we get to the wcf there's a chance he stays, but honestly I think he wanted out regardless. Anyone with half a brain could see that we were decimated by injuries. La clearly was making excuses before the last second of the season ticked off.

If we could have gotten Wes to go down on him LA might have stayed. But I wouldn't want to be the one to ask Wes to do that.

How much attention does he need

I'm kinda, you know, over it you know. It's been kinda a tough, you know, pill for me to, you know, to swallow, because Aldridge was, kinda my most favorite Blazer ever, you know. But, I'm kinda over it you know because, you know, he never kinda liked us, you know anyway, you know.

The good news: no more post game interviews with LMA. People in Texas will have to suffer through those now. Ya know?

Looks Like Bruce Bowen
copyright 2015 barfo

There you are
Looking just as lame as you did last time I watched you
And here I am
Close to getting tangled up inside a can of beer
Do you love Tim
As much as I love Enes
And will that love be strong
When old feelings start to stir

Looks like Bruce Bowen
Left each other on the way
To another love
Looks like Bruce Bowen
Or I thought so as of today
When you were there, everywhere
And all I could say was down the Spurs are goin'.

Lamarcus is about as convincing as one of Carla's ex's on Cheers.

I was bummed at first, but the more LaMarcus talks about his departure, the more assured I am that him being gone is best for the team. He said the blazers were in a "kind of limbo", but he's the one who created the fucking limbo. He could have been a leader and recruited whichever players he wanted to the to the team, but no, he wanted to "go through the process."

Yup. Good riddance.
