Please don't merge this. And this is not off topic. This very important to the Blazers. And the Kings are up 7!!! Go Kings!!!!

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Go Kings!

Go Hornets!

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Hawes is hurt?!

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Diogu again!!! Kings up 11!

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Roy must have offered Ike some incentive to win this game for us.

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Diogu is an infinitely better option for backup PF minutes right now. If Channing played with half of his heart.............

I think we're seeing the real reason for the trade. KP saw ahead and realized Ike could do more for our Northwest Division championship chances on the Kings than he could on the Blazers. Go Ike! Go Kings! Go Blazers!

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

If the Kings can pull this off it would be so unbelievable.

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Diogu again!!!!

The dude can play. I hadn't noticed, but the guy has played a bit the last few games and he's been effective, doing what he does best: rebound offensively and get to the line.

His PER with the Kings has been 22.5 heading into tonight, and even though it's a small sample size it reinforces my thought that we should have shipped out Frye, rather than Ike.

JR Smith on fire. Hope he cools off on Wednesday.

The things that he does well (get to the line, rebound offensively) are things that do not slump. He shot a very poor percentage from the floor with the Blazers, but that was a total fluke... his 50% from the field with the Kings (not counting tonight, where he's 5-7 so far) is much closer to his career 49.4%.

The things Frye does well are more prone to slumps. I guess THE thing he does well is space the floor by shooting jumpers... I'd have preferred a steady player off the bench than Frye.

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Anyone else cringe when the Nuggets' announcers refer to Chris Andersen as "Bird?"

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

Hawes had 4 pts, 3 rebs, & 4 assts in 6 minutes but won't return.

On the plus side he's going to be a free agent this summer

Never a big fan of Channing, but he's got way more upside than Ike.

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

I don't think Frye or Ike will be here next year. For the remainder of this year, I would rather have Frye because he knows the Blazers system better and is a good locker room guy.

The way rotations are cut in the playoffs, neither was going to see any playing time . . . but Frye such a nice guy, I'm glad he is here for the playoffs. :)

Re: Kings @ Nuggets Game Thread

If by 'upside' you mean softness, then yes he's way ahead of Ike.

Haha.

Ike is younger and has been a more effective player when healthy than Frye has been... I don't see how anyone could really love the upside of either player, but Ike is, IMO, a better player NOW and since he's younger and they're both relatively old at 25, I like Ike's future more, too.

I agree neither will (or were going to) be here next year.
