because they will use tonight's game as a playoff game and
right now they are on the outside looking in.

Their backs are up against the wall. Rangers know exactly
how this team plays to win.
Oh, did I forget to mention that this Ranger team should
also be highly motivated and we all know why!

Rangers should be looking for blood in this one

it'd be nice if we put a nail on their coffin but beating them tonight does absolutely zero to "make up" for last year's SCF loss. They got the Cup, we don't.

I wouldn't say the rangers are any more motivated for tonights game. They already went out and beat LA in LA so there is nothing to prove.

there's nothing you CAN prove

I just want to see 101 points after tonight.

I would love to see this game be the one that knocked those bastards out.

Talbot just needs to stop playing the puck. Every game he does something stupid and it leads to either a goal or a great scoring chance.
Our team is just puck watching way too much. And it would be great if Glass would grow a pair of balls and actually lay someone out that keeps taking liberties on our guys. Nolan cross checked Yandle after the first goal, should've sent a message there but didn't. They've been crashing the net hard, so reprecussions for them. We need to be much more physical.
And of course as I type this they call a BS soft call on us. Well it's obvious this game means more to them than to us but this is also a concern of mine if Boston somehow sneaks in and we have to play them. We struggle against bigger teams that can forecheck well.

LA is just bombing away......they are
throwing everything at Talbot.
Rangers down 2-1 and being outshot
26-15. Where's the checking?

Watching the last few games I've been paying close attention to faceoffs. We don't lose many clean, it's typically the other teams wingers are more aggressive than ours and get it out of the pile.

Just curious. LA had no penalties
against Devils and none so far tonight.
They are not cleanest team in this league........

Not that our PP could score.

This is how you beat AV teams, even in Vancouver. Be physical, forecheck and take away the boards. If you can forecheck well, the Rangers can't use the stretch pass, therefore they need to use the boards to try and get the puck out, and LA has great size and great board play and takes that away. To me, they are the only team out West that really concerns me. They have the formula and pieces to beat this team.

Cant stand this kings team. The guy I hate the most is Doughty. What a douche.

Ugh. This PP. What a shitshow. Is Torts running this PP? I mean, really. Zero confidence, no one in a shooting area, no good passes, bad zone entry. Just awful.

Also, LA is on pace for around 50 shots right now. We look so slow out there you'd think we played last night not them.

Desperate. Obnoxious. Tough. Their plan
puts us behind the 8 f'kn puck!

3rd Period. Down 3-1. UGH! Stepan has
no shots on goal. This game is done. I see
no push to attack their goal.

They really need to shorten the regular season to 72 games. Now we have to watch this crappy efforts for another 10 games.

Tonight is what it is. The Kings had a TON more to play for than us. I really wouldn't read one drop more into it. I know we all want to act like we have a lot to play for, but we don't in reality.

The Isles and Pens both lost tonight in SO's, so that is another lost point for each. The Met is done (if we get 10 of 20 points we clinch it...even if they both get 100% of their remaining points). I am not worried about home ice over the Habs. I would like home ice over TB if possible though. Right now we are tied, and we have two games in hand. They do own the ROW TB.

Outside of TB, and if we didn't get home ice against them so be it, to me it is what it is. Out West the Blues and Ducks could finish ahead of us, but we can very easily finish ahead of them also.

So just stay healthy, win some games here and there, and away we go.

And Hank will be back this weekend for sure I believe.

A lot of good stuff...

What a horrible phrase......"it is what it is".
Hey, Chuck............"done is done".

movin' on..........35 pp goals.....15 since Jan.1 2015

Red Wings are #1 in PP goals....they have 65 PP goals.

Just thought I'd throw this tidbit out there.

Wait...just thought you'd throw out a negative comment...no way cage...that shocks me...LOL.

My lord it is comical. Is what it is on the board.
