ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports there were strong indications Thursday night that the New York Knicks were assembling the final details of an offer sheet they believe will ultimately land Milwaukee Bucks restricted free agent Ramon Sessions.

The New York Daily News suggests Allen Iverson could be a cheaper alternative at point guard because he is willing to accept a one-year contract.

According to the newspaper, Knicks president Donnie Walsh and Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, met two weeks ago to discuss the possibility of Iverson joining the Knicks.

I hope they go for AI, a league without allen iverson won't be as fun for me

He should be able to put up great numbers in D'Antoni's system and he's willing to sign for only one season which fits NY's 2010 game plan. AI is still a ticket draw and always entertaining to watch.
