**UPDATED NBA RUMOR**Source: Knicks very open to trading Tyson Chandler before the trading deadline. (Blazers / Hawks / Warriors) interested

Before you discredit the source, he's broken a lot of sport stories and is pretty reputable, especially in NY sports.

Wonder what the knicks would want...

his cap number is 14M$, dont know how we could make it work

Don't see how we could realistically make it work (where they would like the deal) unless we gave up a starter. Not going to happen for Chandler.

The salary is for this year and next (player option for 14.5M). A big chunk to swallow. I would love to have him as backup C though.

It actually works for Robinson, Wright, Leonard and Claver.

Is Robinson and Leonard too much? If Chandler could come back and be 75% that would probably be worth it.

This doesn't give NY any salary relief, but it would give them younger talent. But, if we are talking to them then they already know we don't have any expiring contracts.

If he's willing to play back up Center and we don't trade any starters, go for it!

TRob, Wright, Leonard and CJ would be $10.7 million. Since we can take back 150% of those contracts I think that would be enough for Chanlders $14.1 million deal. It would save the Knicks a lot of luxury tax this year and next ($20+ million?). We could also give them a 2018 first round pick.

I love CJ upside on this team but if he can be the main piece to get a legit big off the bench we have to consider it.

Gotta get a third team involved. We don't really have the expendable salaries to send them in return.

Something like this:

Chandler and Shumpert to POR
CJ, Leonard, Felton to BOS
Rondo and D Wright to NYK

All depends on how set we are to make a real big run this year.

BOS is giving up Rondo for CJ/Leonard/Felton?!

I don't think you can pay a backup that kind of cash and rolo has been huge for us I don't know if you could take his start and not fuck up chemistry. Who knows they are all pros they could hold a team meeting and decide if they'd accept Chandler into the club. IMO he's not that great and I still hate him from the playoff series when mavs took it all, we were the hardest team for them that whole run.

Not true. Robinson, Wright, Leonard and Claver works.

The thought of a Lopez/Chandler center rotation is amazing!

Get it done NeO.

Would rather go after Asik than Chandler.
Unless NYK have a unprotected 1st round pick to throw in the deal, we don't have any pieces that would be worth trading for Chandler.

Felt that was too much youth to give up for Chandler. I kinda wanna hold on to at least one of TRob/Meyers.

It is something you would want to think about. But, if Chandler were healthy for 10-20 min off the bench for two years of playoffs, I would certainly consider it. You don't get that many shots at the top and I would like to have him on my team if I got there.

With Lopez's outside shot you could possibly play them together for 8 minutes so that would let each guy play 28 minutes. With fouls and the effort they play with that would be a perfect situation.

They both have 2 years left on their contracts, yes Chandler is paid a lot but the Blazers have the room under the luxury tax until then. After that the team might not be able to keep everyone. But if it gets the team closer to a title right now? Well then I think its a good move.

The reason to not do it is if New York is unwilling to trade Chandler for fair value, or if the team values CJ or other players quite a bit more than other teams. I'll trust NeO to be the judge of that.

Not true. Robinson, Wright, Leonard and Claver works.

Man, that's a lot to give up for a guy that's 31 and just coming off an injury.

Honestly, I don't shed many tears for Wright, Leonard, or Claver, but I'd hate to give up Robinson. New York needs to give something else back. Second rounder or something?

So you would start Chandler?

The guy is a DPOY type, still one of the elite defensive C's in the game. Of course you would start him. I think he needs to play himself more into shape to return to form, though. He's close.

His injury was a broken leg, not one of those career altering knee or ankle type injuries.

Our offense is so smooth with Lopez right now though. Do you turn around and deal Rolo?

Not with Chandler's injury history. I still would argue RoLo starts, just because of the impact on Aldridge. You keep RoLo and hope to get decent minutes out of Chandler to keep him healthy. I would hope Stotts would look at both lineups though. There is a chance that the RoLo factor could be even greater with Chandler.

I hate that guy. Mostly because Joel Przybilla hated him, lol.

I'd listen to offers.
