Knicks Still More Likely To Get Carmelo As Free Agent

As the Nuggets try to convince Carmelo Anthony to stay, sources indicate that the Knicks are still most likely to acquire the forward if he becomes a free agent next summer.

There is a possibility that Denver could trade Anthony before the season, after which he might agree to a contract extension as part an agreement with his new team.

New York may not have the pieces to swing a trade with Denver, but they will have the cap space to sign Anthony outright next offseason if he hits the market.
