Knicks want Sergio

I don't like this trade for the Knicks. For one, I'm not too impressed with Sergio. He has potential, but his numbers are looking lackluster: 4 points, 4 assists, 37% from the field, 33% from downtown. He also won't log too many minutes behind Duhon, who is averaging 40 MPG. He will also be playing behind Nate Robinson who has been impressive this season. Furthermore, we are extremely undersized as it is and David Lee is our starting center. By trading Lee we will be giving up a lot of size inside. In order for this trade to work, the Blazers would have to throw in at least a first rounder for us to consider the move.

Of course, we would also welcome my boy Bayless in the deal

Sergio straight up for Lee doesn't make sense for either team. The Knicks give up the better player, and the Blazers would only be renting Lee to be a backup PF for half a season.

He most certainly was not drafted because KP saw him as his future PG to lead this team.

Sure he was. He's ideally suited to complement Roy, with the ability to defend point guards well, shoot from the perimeter, drive and dish and otherwise let Roy be the decision-maker.

I think Pritchard definitely has Bayless in mind as the long-term solution at guard alongside Roy.
