Roy is "ahead of his time"? Does that mean his style of play will eventually become the norm in the NBA?

It's a nice comment, but I'm not sure it's accurate. Roy may be a one-of-a-kind player.

I take it as meaning that he is wise, composed, mature, etc.. beyond his years and it reflects in his composed and fundamental basketball game.

Edit - As well as his understanding of the game is beyond his years. I think Kobe's comment was spot on.

Ya, I'm pretty sure he meant he's ahead of a 3rd year player how he plays the game.

80% of the Blazers starting lineup in the early 1990s had played together for 5-6 years before Buck Williams was added to make the final piece that vaulted them into championship contention.

When the Blazers were swept in the first round by the Lakers in 1989, they should have blown up the team and made massive changes.

Umm, no. What i'm saying is don't overvalue people like Sergio, Webster, etc... if what you can get back is a better player. A backup for a starter is always a good trade. I'm just re-iterating what I heard KP say that he is always looking for ways to make the team better, and I agree w/ him.

And if you paid attention to any of my posts you'd know that i'm against making a trade unless its a very nice deal. I'm extremely against making a trade just tto make a trade.
