Jeebus. Against the kings. Ime bricked 2 freethrows with 4 seconds left. fucker.

what a fuck. the L*kers should have like 5 more losses than they do right now.

I had visions of Sean Elliott. His feet were awfully close to the sideline.

the one guy they needed to stick too like glue... and they give him about 12ft and all the time in the world to hit the game winner. Still, KB24 is the real deal, teams should know better... coach is probably having a major meltdown in the locker room atm..

well ime had a chance to seal it and missed both FT's - they had their shot.

Kobe needs to pace himself. He won't have any game winners left for the post season at this rate (Hey, it's the only hope I can think of to cling to. Unless you count hoping he gets injured. But one with good sportsmanship would never wish such a thing, would they?)

Another KP screw up...if he'd kept Ime for the last spot Ime wouldn't have been available to miss those shots!

I hope the L*kers keep winning like this and are the consensus #1 "Announcers' drool hanging from their nuts" pick to win it all. And I hope it all comes crashing down on them in a series-clinching defeat at the Rose Garden. :)

LOL. John Hollinger just tweeted this:

This is why Sergio Rodriguez doesn't normally play end-of-game defensive possessions.

Look at his feet!

Holy Snykies Sergio. What were you thinking? Kobe sets a pick on him and the rest looks like a comedy spoof for SNL. Did he leave Kobe to double Gasol 30 ft away from the basket? Or was he just in a stupor after running into that pick? Then watching him crawl like a crab trying to "close out" on Kobe is just hilarious!

Can you imagine if that was against the Blazers? Somehow Maris would say it was on offensive foul on Kobe or something! Everybody else would just be hammering the guy. Maybe the worst last second defense I've ever seen.

Yes, can you imagine? Jeff Pendergraph and Juwan Howard series Co MVP's!!!

Uh...nice shove, Kobe. What's Sergio supposed to do? Love the NBA.

How about not flopping and thinking the refs are going to bail you out with an offensive foul call in the last second of a game?

Seems like a poorly-constructed game plan. Everyone in the building knows K*be's shooting it. And you set it up so your defense is that Sergio's guarding him? One-on-one? Through a pick??

EDIT: But what do we know? Coaches get paid lots of money to know way more about this stuff than we do.:)

I thought we were friends! :sigh:

Much love to L*ker fans. I couldn't be one. :)

EDIT: Let me rephrase. "...to L*ker fans who generally show up and talk sports. Not the Vagisil candidates who can't spell K*be or describe how many sides a triangle has, yet fork over 200 for an "authentic" jersey and seem to show up around the time the team has a parade."

The Kings coach looked directly down at Kobe's heels to see if he was out of bounds and never complained about him being out of bounds...Its sorta hard to see in that video but easy to see on TV with multiple angles. There was no definitive video of where exactly his feet were

That is just damn sexy.

Do you really think he flopped Nik? Kobe outweighs him by at least 50 lbs, and I don't think Sergio can bench press his weight.

I used to play at an athletic club where Kenny Carr played (remember him?) One time I was chasing the guy I was guarding who was curling towards the wing, when I ran smack dab into a Kenny Carr Pick. I'm 6'1 and was probably 200 lbs at the time. Kenny was probably 260. I went ass-over-tea-kettle for about a half a block. It wasn't a flop.

they just gotta know the refs arent gonna call that with 4 seconds to go - game's on the line - DOUBLE BRYANT.... pretty straight forward - the dude yelling and pointing to cover KB probably should have been that dude.

Yeah, I have no idea how anyone could consider that to be a flop. You see that he got hit with one foot off the ground and Kobe's moving him backwards with his body. He took a few steps back to recover from the momentum shift. Pretty baseless observation to think it a flop.

Man, he shouldn't have flopped.
