Basketball Fans Can Now Exchange Their 100 Point Blazers Game Coupons for KOi Fusion Tacos!

Bring your Blazers 100 Point Coupon to any of our KOi Fusion locations while eligible and get your hands on a fresh Korean Oregon-Infused taco!

While the Trail Blazers are tearing up the Moda Center (*cough* Rose Garden) with an 8-2 record and ranked 1st in their division, we are soaking up that winning feeling and standing by for all the taco hungry Bball fans who would rather enjoy a taco than scarf a breakfast item! And don’t think that this is a limited time thing either–if there’s a five season deal in place, know that we are in it for the long haul!
We’ll really know we’ve shaken things up when we hear you chanting at the next high scoring game!
“KOi-TA-COS! KOi-TA-COS!”
Fine Print: Limit one coupon trade per customer per visit. Expired coupons will not be accepted.

Well if thats not uber-exciting I don't know what is.

Does McDonalds know about this? If not it's particularly awesome albeit dangerous from a business standpoint. But I would assume they have an agreement if they're advertising it. Fuck yes!

I'm sorry but this HAS to be some of the best news in awhile concerning corporate decisions. If you have not had a Koi Fusion Taco you are MISSING OUT.

They are simply some of the most awesome tacos ever. Redeem and you will see.

Wow this is huge. McD's can't be happy with the Blazer partnership.

To me, this just sounds like a company taking advantage of a perceptibly unhappy market demographic. I don't see them having any agreement with McDonalds or the Blazers. Look at the references in the ad. "100-point coupon"; "breakfast sandwich"--they went out of their way not to directly mention other businesses names.

And I think this is brilliant. They'll get a ton of good press and business from this.

seriously, if you haven't had koi fusion, it's very good. It's not THE BEST THING YOU"VE EVER EATEN EVAAAH!! But it's tasty and quality every time I've been there before.

Exactly.

Chant with me!

KOI! KOI! KOI! KOI!

Now that's a rad chant. :)

And it goes great with this song:

So if I get this right, the McD coupons can be redeemed at KOI?

Makes me think that they were vying to be the successor to Taco Bell, but thwarted by McD's offer to the Blazers. Now they're still trying to get in on the action. Shrewd marketing and business if there are no legal lines crossed.

I'll get in on this!

And like others have said, much better chant. lol.

Is the Chalupa vs McDonalds really a big issue to people?

It's not uncommon in marketing to accept a competitor's coupons. Good move by the Koi Company.

I don't care about Chalupa's or Eggamuffins. It would be fun to get the entire garden to start chanting 'Koi' instead of Micky-...oh shit I can't even type it I hate it so much.

Absolutely awesome on all levels. A big finger to McD, good food to the fans, and good publicity to Koi Fusion. Really hope the new "Koi Chant" catches on - I figure it will.
And yeah, the tacos are good, but the bulgogi burritos are better!

I don't see how they could keep it going. Blazers would lose huge face if that actually stuck. I'm sure McDonalds would sue the shit out of this company to boot

What legal standing would they have for suing?

Sounds like they don't think they'd be able to handle the expense of fulfilling the demand this would create. IMO, if KOi just said free taco with purchase (or BOGO), they'd make out like bandits.

Well if you are to chant that koi-taco, when they are supposed to chant McDonald's? I don't know, but it seems pretty fucked for McDonalds or Taco Bell to pay dollars for advertising they aren't gonna get. Blazers would take some serious heat for it.

Fans aren't supposed to chant anything. If we choose to ignore the company whose name is on the coupons, that's our choice, and nobody's fault but theirs, really. Don't like it? Offer up a more desirable product. As far as KOi is concerned, they have absolutely no obligation to McDonalds, and Mickey D's would have no right to stop them from pursuing this promotion.
