KP after Tyrus Thomas?

We have Dante and Outlaw, do we really need Thomas? I'm in love with making a move, but Thomas seems kind of redundant.

This is old news, the official heights have been inaccurate for years. And Tyrus is closer to 6'7" than 6'9". He's actually 6'7" without shoes.

Regardless of his hight his length is insane. If he can get his head on straight I think he could be a Chris Anderson type.

Nate just has to convince that he's NOT a jump shooter. Why he takes as many 20-footers as he does is beyond me.

Agreed. Adding a young big man who can fill a role off the bench (a true backup power forward) for a pair of expiring guys that I, personally, would not mind seeing go would be a nice move.

Thomas is expiring as well though, and he wasn't offered an extension. What skill does he bring to the roster right now that makes a deal for him worthwhile in terms of making the playoffs? Dante Cunningham seems to be giving the Blazers about the same thing that Thomas is giving the Bulls right now, at least on a per/minute basis. Thomas is much better defensively, but in terms of offense, Cunningham is by and large better in terms of ORtg.

I'd rather keep Blake and let Cunningham develop at this point. This team still has a shot at the playoffs. A Webster/Outlaw for Thomas/filler deal is intriguing, however.

To get Tyrus we need to pony up a 1st round pick.

They are looking for expiring contracts as well.

If we are looking at Tyrus long-term I'd have no problem KP giving up a 2010 first rounder.
