I'm all for trumpeting that slogan, but I'm concerned that you're devaluing the scorn-value of it by using it where people did not, in fact, keep it weird.

I don't think Pritchard is a bigot. I think he'd have liked to add Millsap, even if it wasn't all that likely.

KP hates power forwards eh? Is that why the power forward position was the number one concern for him in the 2006 draft? LaMarcus, I'm assuming was #1 on his draft board.

They weren't using his ranking sheet eh? He had nothing to do with the recruitment of LaMarcus Aldridge or Brandon Roy, I take it.

Kevin Pritchard had everything to do with the players they chose. He may not have brokered the deals to bring them here. But it was his scouting team that indentified the players they were going to take.

That's all you need to know.

Kp was the director of scouting for the blazers in 2006. It was his scouting team that recruited every player in that draft. During the nba draft, it was his scouting departments rank sheet they used to select the players they did. This rank sheet had nothing to do with Steve Patterson. I can bet you anything that Steve Patterson did very lil to no scouting for that draft. So, let's go over this again. KP and his scouting team is the major reason why LMA is a blazer today.

And guess what he's a power forward. Which sticks thorn through your crazy observation.

Do you not understand that KP was the director of scouting for the blazers in 2006? It was his team that did all the work for draft? Do you understand atleast that much?

KP does the same thing now as he did then just with a gm tag instead. If you don't think he has any say in who the blazers draft now or that he doesn't give any of his own insight. Your crazy. The man is a draft day guru. He is scout. That's what he is .

He may not have drafted them. But the fact is LaMarcus Aldridge is his guy. And you can't dispute that.

From what I've heard and read it was KP and John Gabriel who were the brains behind getting LMA and Roy.
Those two and PA's checkbook is why we had such a successful draft. Patterson was the Team President and Nash was the GM but in the war room PA listened to everyone and went with KP and JG.

You're right, KP doesn't deserve the entire credit for that draft. John Gabriel also deserves a ton of it. KP knew the players he wanted but it was JG who orchestrated the deals. From what I heard PatterNash wanted to "Draft the Stache". Thank god but PA was not interested in Morrison at all.

Sure, my friend Lanny from Oregonlive's Blazer forum has 2 sets of season tickets. One pair in the 100 level, one pair in the 200 level.

The bet is this, if LMA hasn't signed his extension by the time the regular season starts I'll pay for the tickets and you and I will go to a Blazer game together.

If LMA is signed to an extension by the time the regular season starts you pay for the tickets and we'll still go to a Blazer game together.

You can decide if the bet is for the 100 level or 200 level seats.

I don't THINK he will be signed, but I KNOW that he won't be bye training camp thats why I made the above statement. So read it over and I will agree to any bet you want. I do this for a loiving son.

I'll stand by what I said and the bet I proposed. LMA will get his extension by the deadline which I think is Oct. 31st. I'm not as confident that it will happen before training camp. I can see everyone taking a break and waiting until LMA arrives in town for camp before they finalize the deal. You're the one who is saying, "NO WAY he gets signed." I'm saying he will.
