ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard updated the NBA's story of the day on the Noon edition of Sportscenter by stating the proposed three-way trade between the Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers and Chicago Bulls centered around Carlos Boozer is dead. At least in it's current incarnation.
Broussard quoted Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard as saying bluntly that it's "not going to happen," despite his team's strong desire to bring in G Kirk Hinrich from Chicago.

Speculation is that the Jazz will continue to try and deal Boozer in order to free up the cap space to retain Paul Millsap. Broussard also suggested on possible match could be with Detroit, with Richard Hamilton entering the mix.

I think the Jazz will move Boozer and match any offer Portland gives Milsap. Not a god situation to get Milsap on the team, unless they want to S & T which I would doubt.

We still have time to use the cap space, but using all of it for Hinrich just doesn't get me very excited. Utah better hope they can find a deal for Boozer soon. I hope Portland submits the offer now just to mess with them.

KP has gone on record as saying he doesn't like making moves in the middle of the season, so even if the cap space is more valuable it probably won't get used at all if it isn't before the season starts.

I mean, it is possible a deal would go down, but highly doubtful.

I love Millsap's game but we don't need to pay someone that much money for 15 minutes a game. He won't stay happy and we can't trade Joel because we need him. Millsap can not play center and IMO it isn't good enough to have LMA play backup center. Plus we have to see if Oden can stay out of foul trouble and healthy first. I'm not as huge Hinrich fan but he is a lot better then Blake and we would be much better off if we ended up with Hinrich then Millsap. Some of you people are something else. You get upset we are not doing anything and when we have a chance to improve the team you still get upset. I think some of you think we are going to get CP3 or Lebron lol.
