KP to make an offer at 9:01 tonight to...

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Please, please...please...let's stop taking cheap shots at Miles' expense. It was Ben & Jerry's, certainly not that low-life Baskin-Robbins crap.

Actually it was Cold Stone Creamery in Tualatin. Did D-Miles have a tent outside?

15 minutes and counting!

pffft. I just know there's going to be a huge anticlimatic end to all of this build up.

What's everybody going to do when the big announcement is that Roy has been extended a max deal?

We're probably not even going to hear about it until a few days.

Even more anticlimatic.

Will we hear about the offer? What I mean is it released immediately by the NBA

Um no, it's a offer made by KP that won't even become official until a week after. So, chances are, you hear about it a few hours/days later and then it becomes official on the 8th.

That's how I feel. Even if it's a good signing, he'll probably sign elsewhere because they offered him more whores or something.

If the perfect free agent isn't out there, our cap space brings even more value come February. Most people on here would have a heart attack and want to fire KP, but he'd likely get more value if he wanted to make a lopsided trade around the trade deadline.

The tough part would be sifting through all the posts of people saying we can't get out of the first round now because we haven't made a move yet. Then again, those were the same people that said we wouldn't make the playoffs after making no major trades last summer and that we couldn't get home court advantage because we didn't trade RLEC expiring contract. Those people never seem to learn from their mistakes and would rather piss and moan than enjoy our successes.

Just curious, but after February, what will the excuse be?

Look, I get it - people are grateful to KP for what he has done so far...the problem is, the job isn't over. Sorry, but I am tired of people telling me to admire the foundation and ignore that silly rain pouring on my head from the gaping hole in the roof! :sigh:

Who said the job was over?

Then get a fucking umbrella.

Then, if we are not a championship caliber team and we have no flexibility, THEN you can bitch and moan.

What I don't get is why people bitch and moan before it's all said and done?

Now from CBS Sports;

Determined to make the first splash of the NBA's free-agent negotiating period early Wednesday, the Portland Trail Blazers are making a strong push to sign Hedo Turkoglu, the prized free agent of the summer.

While negotiations across the league were in the early stages, a person with knowledge of the discussions said the Blazers are trying to lure Turkoglu with a deal in the $50-million range. Contracts cannot be signed until July 7, when the annual moratorium on signing and trading players is lifted.

Other teams expected to make a play for Turkoglu, who earned a huge pay day by helping Orlando get to the NBA Finals, were Toronto, Detroit, and Sacramento. The Magic, who acquired Vince Carter from the Nets on the belief that they could not retain Turkoglu, are not expected to be a factor in a situation that involves Turkoglu getting $10 million a year.
