Just saw this movie for about the 5th time. Each time I see little details in it that I missed the other times.

Anyhow, it's a good job of acting by Spacey, and a very interesting story.

The ending is pretty clever as well. Prot (Spacey's character) either returns to his home planet (KPAX) or he's been shocked by his shrink (Jeff Bridges) into a catatonic state.

I've concluded that he occupied the body of a man who underwent a terrible tragedy, and when he left the body to return home, he left the guy in his previously catatonic state.

Why is this my conclusion? Generally, he gave everyone at the mental institution what they wanted. His going under hypnosis and all that went with it was his way of giving the doctor what HE wanted as well.

Earlier in the movie, Prot proved to know things about a solar system 1000 light years away that hadn't been written in any journals. And he was able to diagram that solar system that when overlayed over the stars perfectly fit.

Anyhow, it's a terrific movie, IMO.

I love that movie. I need to watch it again though. The last time I saw it I was 16 and I'm 18 now so I am an immense amount smarter. ;)

What's with the column width on these posts?? They're very narrow and elongated, or is it just my computer??
