No. of Trades:
Traded Sergio + $ for Cap Space

Calendar:
List of Free Agents
July 10-19: LVSL (Summer League)

Offseason Resources:

Assumptions:
We let Raef, Frye, Ruffin, Randolph walk.
We keep LMA, Roy, Oden, Rudy, Pryz, Batum

Resources:
~$7-8 Mil Cap Space (Cap is set to $57.7 Mil, Lux Tax is $69.9 Mil, Midlevel Ex $5.85 Mil)
Current Roster (Especially Blake, Webster, Outlaw, Bayless)
$2.9 Mil Trade Exemption
Cash (and we're not afraid to use it!)
Overseas players: PK, Joel Freeland
Future Draft Picks

Needs:
Starting PG
Starting SF?
Backup PF
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think we have the rights to a couple of other players overseas.
I think Batum, Rudy, and Joel are worth more to us than to other teams, hence I didn't include them in the trade list.
I'll update this as the info comes in!

Cash (and we're not afraid to use it!)

Am I missing someone? I thought we started the season with 15, but I only have 14 listed.

You missed the invisible man, Raef.

only in the sense that his contract is no longer on the books.

ah ok.. I just figured that was included in the cap space.. I thought he meant to trade lol.

use him for what?

Just kidding. No, he's a free agent and no longer a member of the team.

threw me off dammit.. I was like "wait how the hell..."

The trade exception is worth just under 3 million according to the ESPN trade machine.

The draft is less than a month away, so I thought I'd bump this.

Sticky?

Calendar Created, Summer League and Draft added.

i would add rudy to our available resources. Love to keep him but he could be more valuable to another team, considering we have roy

I agree. Technically, I'd say anyone is available for the right price, but I can't see getting an offer for Roy, Aldridge or Oden that would tempt me to move any of them.

Batum is the next most important player to me, but he's not so valuable as to be explicitly off the table.

And Raef is still an asset, though one with no value associated to him yet. When free agency starts, he can be sign & traded. We know that we do not have high priced assets, so Raef could get some free money by allowing himself to be included in a trade. That is as long as another team was open to a sign and trade.

I don't think we're going to hold on to Raef and his major cap hold in hopes of signing and trading him. Our cap space is larger than the amount we could sign and trade him for.

The cap hold means nothing, really, in the case of Raef. If Portland finds a deal where they do not need Raef for salary filler, then they just renounce him and then have their cap space. Now if we were talking about the cap hold of a player we want to keep, say Roy, then yes, the cap hold is very important. raef can be jettisoned at any time.

KP's off season resources........wait til the deadline.

KP's orders from his boss........"upgrade the roster"

Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen has told general manager Kevin Pritchard to upgrade the team's roster for next season, adding suspense, intrigue and pressure to what already figures to be a critical juncture in the team's pursuit of a championship.

"Overall, our timeline has moved up," Pritchard said last week after one of several offseason meetings with Allen. "We need to take it to the next level."
