Kris Blanks won the Louisiana Open on Sunday for his second career Web.com Tour title, closing a 9-under 62 and beating Brett Stegmaier with a 10-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a playoff.
"I kind of knew what the putt was doing and it was just a matter of getting it on line," Blanks said. "I just thought the heck with it, `Let's try to end this and let everybody go home."
Seven strokes behind leader Kyle Reifers at the start of the round, Blanks matched Stegmaier at 14-under 270 at La Triomphe and earned $99,000.
