Sure, this board is full of offended stars who can write a lot of words, but when's the last time this board won anything?
 
He said Dame was special.....what is all the fuss about? Kyrie did hit a Finals series clinching shot. Dame has yet to get passed the 2nd round. Kyrie wouldn't have got there without LeBron either. Not sure what people are so upset about.
 
Worthy was a Harrison Barnes. Quick, but dependent upon his point guard to set him up. Ripboy is right. Worthy would have been barely noticed if not in the media center. Just forget his name.

James Worthy feasted on fast break basketball and playing with Magic Johnson. Take him off the showtime teams, and I don't believe he'd be nearly as well known or as regarded. Still, he was indeed a stud in that system with those players.

I wouldn’t trade any of those rosters for ours. But that lack of talent around him doesn’t also validate dame as a perennial type player. Only postseason wins and trips to the finals can do that.

So AD gets a pass on not doing ANYTHING, because he hasn't had an all-star level teammate until this year, but Dame's had this team for roughly 2+ season now without LMA and gone 2nd round, 1st round, and now middle-of-pack playoff team. How is he worse than AD, who gets a pass? Are you saying CJ's that much better than Boogie? Aminu's better than Jrue Holiday? Eric Gordon? Huge-contract-earning Ryan Anderson? Tyreke?

It was kind of tongue-in-cheek, as James has had a beef with Durant, did the aforementioned bedtime things, was in multiple fights that I remember, talked smack, and basically rode the coattails of Jordan at UNC and Magic in the NBA. As I said, the Bird/Magic-generation's Kyrie. ;)

I'm guessing he means that Dame scores a lot but hasn't come anywhere near contending for a championship. Similar to Kyrie without LeBron.

Way to jump to conclusions. I’m not saying better or worse fair or not that’s what the attitude is nationally and I’m saying he gets a pass for that and for injuries. Boogie is head and shoulders better than cj and that’s why expectations were different this year. I think people understood that New Orleans was a dumpster fire and expectations for success were super low however everyone you just listed would be the 3rd best player on our team imo. The ceiling on their team is much much higher than ours and the fact that dame doesn’t get more credit for even the modest success the team has had is criminal but thems the breaks sometimes.
