I like this... you know.. picture of aldridge because he looks so... you know... happy!

Here's everyone with 85+ points in the first two games:

None of them have rebounded like LA. None of them have been centers or PF's. This is RARE territory.

Baylor and West scored at least 89 in the first two games of a playoff season.

Michael Jordan (112 points in the 1986 playoffs and 105 in the 1988 playoffs),
Jerry West (101 in the 1965 playoffs),
Elgin Baylor (89 in the 1961 playoffs), and
Tracy McGrady (89 in the 2003 playoffs).

As for equaling Aldridge's 26 rebounds, Baylor averaged 15.25 rebounds per game in the 1961 playoffs, so on average he had 30 or 31 in those 2 games. (Rebounds are available as a total for the 1961 playoffs, not for each game.) Neither game went to overtime, like Aldridge's asterisked record.

Would you prefer to pretend the OT didn't happen? OK--great. Aldridge scored just 3 points and got exactly 1 rebound in the OT period, so go ahead and just credit him with 86 points and 25 rebounds in regulation over the first two games, and shut your #@^&ing mouth.

Love and kindness.

I thought a few numbers people would be interested. Took me a lot of time. If I wanted to spend more time, I'd rerun the database for whatever numbers Aldridge got in regulation. Also, I'd check McGrady, etc. to see whether any of those games were overtime.
