LA Laker fan rioters and Dodger gangstaz: "They are not real fans"

One interesting argument that comes up, especially when the Laker fans were rioting and looting and jumping around fires like African tribal savages and the recent beating of an SF Giants fan is "those people...they aren't really fans".

You hear it from the news, fans of the teams, on message boards.

Bullshit. Those ARE the fans of the team. Maybe they aren't like every other fan, but they are fans. And Laker fans and Dodger fans have a reputation. Shit talking cholos/gangstas.


Being a fan doesn't give you some kind of morality. Face it, LA fans in generally are pretty fucking shit.

Hell, LA is a town FULL of assholes. They have a reputation that they do live up to.

So in conclusion, fuck Laker fans.

I can't stand Los Angeles either, but the reason it's a fighter's paradise is that a quarter of the population are kids of paranoid recent immigrants, as you would be if you had to move to Mexico to find a job, and act out against their parents' fears by being the opposite. 2nd generation immigrants are very different from 1st.

Plus, unlike the immigrants from other countries who do it legally, the immigrants who came over illegally to the US aren't exactly Mexico's "cream of the crop". The kids grow up poor in the land of the rich and famous since their parents can only get low paying shitty jobs. They become jealous of the wealth and band together and form street gangs to take the shortcut, just as their parents took a shortcut to get into the US at the expense of others.

Not everyone, but there is a definite reason for all the mexican street gangs, crime and violence and its relation to illegal immigration.

I'm not saying they attackers are mexican (but based on the sketches there's a good possibility they could have been), but there's a definite stereo type with going to "DOYER" games. There are certain sections people warn you not to sit because of the "cholos" who harass fans (even other dodger fans)..and in my experience, much of it seems accurate to the stereotypes.

With a sellout crowd you would think there were plenty of witnesses, and it would be only a matter of time before someone was arrested after a stabbing opening day at Dodger Stadium.
Arthur Alvarez, 32, was arrested Thursday night at a relative's home in Santa Clarita, said LAPD Capt. Bill Murphy. Alvarez, a reputed gang member, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder. He was being held in lieu of $550,000 bail and was expected to be charged today.
Alvarez, who is unemployed, had attended the Dodgers' home opener against the San Francisco Giants with a couple and another man, police said. Investigators said Alvarez and the other man began quarreling, and Alvarez stabbed the 30-year-old victim several times in the arm. Alvarez then fled in a black Ford pickup.

A man was sentenced Tuesday to 50 years to life in prison for shooting a man to death in a Dodger Stadium parking lot after an argument.

Pete Marron, 20, was convicted in August of first-degree murder in the Sept. 19, 2003, killing of Marc Antenorcruz, 25. The jury also found Marron guilty of using a handgun in the attack.

Prosecutors said Marron shot Antenorcruz during a dispute near the end of a game between the Dodgers and San Francisco Giants. Police said the shooting apparently involved fan rivalry. Antenorcruz was described by family members as a Giants fan.

"This defendant's actions are another tragic example of what can happen when bravado and machismo overtake judgment," Deputy District Attorney Tom Rubinson said after the sentencing by Superior Court Judge Robert Perry.

In August, Manuel Hernandez, 34, pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the death of Antenorcruz. His 15-year prison sentence was suspended.

During the trial, Rubinson said Antenorcruz had been drinking and was belligerent the night of the shooting.

After words were exchanged between him and Hernandez, Antenorcruz and his stepbrother approached Hernandez's SUV, according to court testimony.

Marron, who was sitting in the car, pulled out a gun and shot Antenorcruz twice, prosecutors said, adding that Antenorcruz was not armed and did not verbally threaten Marron's life.

You have it wrong. I hate the team because of the fans. I've gone through this unprovoked shit talking/harassment before at laker games wearing blazers jerseys. Didn't even want to leave my seat to go to the bathroom because some cholos would start some shit up. Laker fans are just fucking trash. As far as I'm concerned, they live up to the stereotypes. Don't watch the team when they're losing but they're the first one to talk shit when they're winning. They are the lowest common denominator of fan.
