Seems like OKC is having the same problems with their star player. I just re-watched them getting man-handled at home against Boston. They looked just as flat as we did and they laid an egg in front of an amped up crowd at home.

Nuggets don't look nearly as good as they have in the recent past and Carmelo wants out. Billups has been awful!

Utah is struggling as much as anyone in the league right now. Getting locked up defensively the other night by a Golden State defense. The star player is bitching out a rookie on the court because of a missed assignment the second game in to the season.

The Northwest division hasn't impressed me at all, this thing is wide open. We aren't the only team struggling. We need to put this loss behind us and take care of business this week. All will be good in P-town again.

That said, we definitely have some issues that need to be resolved. I think we'll be alright though.

Yeah... our bench.

At least Minny is entertaining ... in an "Oh my god, what has David Kahn done to that team?" kind of way.

Chicago beat Denver tonight. That makes every team in the division with atleast 3 losses.

The Nuggets are getting a fudge-packing right now against Indiana. Down 24 late in the 3rd. Miami having its way with the unimpressive Jazz as well.

hahaha

They must be jumping off bridges in Denver right now. They're down 37 right now in Indiana. The Pacers have 120 point with 10 minutes left in the 4th.

Collison looks pretty good.. 29 points off 12-13 shooting, with six dimes? Not bad... Do I read that right, 54 points in the third quarter for Indy? Holy hell...

Utah claws its way back to a lead. Deron is lookin sharp.

Lebron looks amazing with Wade and Bosh cutting. Dude is diming it up.

Holy Shit! Paul Millsap! 3 straight threes to finish this quarter.

But a dumb foul by Deron. Utah still has a chance.

O M G!

PAUL fucking Millsap ties it at the buzzer. 44pts for the guy. WTF.

Unfortunately for Utah, Deron fouled out.

Speaking of lackluster. Miami had talks about winning 73, they've got just as many losses as our Blazer team thats in disarray. I do say though, Utah got lucky that game. Millsap will never sniff three 3 pointers in a row like that in his career.

I've said it for awhile now. Miami is all bark, no bite. That team is overrated by epic proportions.

God I wish we had picked up Collison.

It is baffling that we weren't in the mix for him. I'll never understand that decision, and PG will be an issue as soon as the trade deadline. Armon Johnson looks promising, but he doesn't seem like someone who is ever going to be potentially elite like Collison may be in a year or two.

It's tough to say what Armon is going to turn into, and the fact that Collison played four years at UCLA makes me question just how much more growth he has left in him. But, yeah I was hoping the Blazers would have made a play for him (assuming they had a shot).

Well, it seems like we put all our eggs in the Chris Paul basket, and when we couldn't get him, it was too late. You have to wonder if Collison ever came up in our talks with NO, and if he did, I wonder what they wanted in return? They sure didn't seem to get much for him from Indy. He would have been a great backup to Miller until either next season, or the year after.

The cruel irony is that KP was such a Bayless honk, that I'm sure he was probably never willing to do a straight swap for Collison when he was supposedly in talks with Jeff Bower before the draft, then with no GM in place Indy makes their move and in the end Bayless still ends up going to the Hornets for barely anything.

I guess timing really is everything.

Leaving yourself an out? :)

Also, why would New Orleans do a straight-up swap? Bayless is due a contract after next season, while Collison had an extra year on his rookie deal. I'm sure that probably wasn't a legitimate option in a trade. ;)

Unfortunately we just don't know what happened. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during those discussions though. How serious were they? Was Collison ever mentioned?

"probably sure" is about halfway between 70% and 99% certainty.
