7-years with a $7.45M cap hit is a great deal for the Rangers and Lafreniere. And no surprise as the potential UFA years 3 through 7 all have an 8-team M-NTC. Still a great deal for both sides and speaks well to Lafreniere's character and desire to win. Now Igor should wake up and take 8-years for $88M and become the highest paid goalie ever.

This should make Rangers fans even bigger fans of Lafreniere than we already were.
