You people are soooo fucking blind!!!! At least get this one god damn part right....Ariza did not grab Rudys arm on his follow through.

There wrists made contact on Arizas follow through but in NO WAY did he grab Rudys wrist....look at that particular part of the play and you will see that instead of just taking my word on it.

Nothin personal, but fuck, a lot of you are saying that and basing a big amount of your hate on it....it did not happen like that!

Watch the replay without your Laker blinders on and then talk to us about what really happen. fuck!!!!

Dude, you're just wrong. Just heard a retired NBA ref (24 years) on the radio say straight out that Ariza, after he hit Rudy's head, did drag the arm and follow through. So suck on that. You calling others blind is incredible. You have no credibility.

Are you fucking serious? Your gonna take the word of a dude on a Radio (ironic)...How about you actually look at what happened.

Wrists, they hit wrists. Yes it made Rudy spin more but it sure as hell wasnt a grab like you all WANT it to be.

edit: 1:25 in is a good view

I did plenty of times...Im pretty sure more than most here since Im the one doing the defending...Im the one posting the video clips

OH NOES, ARIZA WAS TRYING TO KILL HIM!!111 LOOK AT HIS FACE, i HAVE A DEGREE IN FACEOLOGY, I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!

On a serious note, fans support their players. Had the tables been reversed, I bet blazer fans would be happy as hell, seeing how much they hate LA. A bunch of hypocrites.

I guarantee that Blazer fans wouldn't be posting about the player being a "wuss" or having "brittle bones", you classless *edited: No personal attacks*.

After watching the replay 3 or 4 times I'm even more upset the NBA isn't doing anything to Ariza but you all know the NBA is fair just look at the refs they even bet on the game. NBA refs are the worse in sports IMO. I would bet everything I own that if Joel did the same thing to Kobe there would be a few game suspension coming! Fuck this let's just forget it or it will really start pissing me off!:sigh::tsktsk::dunno:

Hilarious. *edited: No personal attacks* is losing his cred defending the actions of a player that even the OC Register says acted like a buffoon.

Wow, thanks for posting a movie I've seen several times already. If you can watch 1:25 - 1:32 of the clip and claim he wasn't dragging Rudy's arms all the way through unnecessarily & excessively then you're a fucking *edited: No personal attacks*. Plain and simple.

Not my fault you made a fool of yourself yesterday, but way to compound your mistake.

The 'If' at the beginning of the sentence in question makes my insult only applicable under a 'hypothetical' scenario. If you take it to be an insult then you're agreeing with me, yes?

I think you're pretty clearly wrong. When their wrists connect (initiated by Ariza, not random chance), Ariza curls his wrist and hand around Fernandez's. One can argue terminology all one wants (as to whether it was a "grab") but Ariza clearly corralled Rudy's wrist, pulling him sideways, which caused him to flip.

*edited: Nice try to work it back in. ;) If you'd REALLY like to debate it, PM me*

wow...look at this shitstorm I started, sorry for giving you extra work Minstrel.

So 4 or 5 comments after my post and nobody addressed what I was pointing out...just bash me...awesome.

Nevermind that Im right and Ariza DID NOT GRAB Rudy's hand/arm...lets just hate on the Lakers fan

way to go guys

You can't conditionally insult, either. You can't say things like, "IF you don't agree with me, then you're a moron," for example.

As it happens, though, I agree with your viewpoint, as my last post indicates.

Ariza had no reason to force his arm down after realizing he didn't get the block, or even if he had blocked the shot. He's a douche; he's a Laker.

Poor DaRizzle. Wondering why people aren't ceding his silly point on a Blazer board.

This is the slippery slope I was talking about last week. :ohno:

I don't think so. This is pretty par for the course...insults occurring during a heated argument. Happens on every message board. Let's just try to keep it under control as much as we can, eh? :)

Damn, good to know.

JE, you were right, time to just let it be.

Well sure it wasnt random because its the follow through of his swat/hit (whatever you want to call it). All that was was momentum. You are giving Ariza way too much credit by saying he can be flying through the air and pull that off purposely.

If you are out of control and hit your forearm/wrist on something what do you think your hand is gonna do??? Thats right, bend forward...

Im not arguing that the contact didnt make the fall harder...It most certainly did, the wrist part was just a the ending part of the swat

Like I said I just want to forget this shit for now but I can't because your "smugness" thinks he is right when he is not. I have watched the replay many times and have so has many others in this thread and he did cause the injury on purpose. Some people have said he didn't mean to hurt Rudy. Maybe but I'm not sure from watching the replay many times. Ariza needs to be suspended or nobody should be suspended for a F2 foul.

There's nothing magical about striking another person's arm with your arm in mid-air. Nor is it hard to curl your wrist around to pull the person off-balance. You can argue it was accidental, if you want (though I don't think it was), but you can't argue it didn't happen. It's clear in the video's replay that Ariza curled his wrist around Fernandez's, which allowed his momentum to pull Rudy off balance and into what became an ugly landing.

Im not smug...Im talking about one particular part of the incident where you guys are wrong. Why the hell should I just bow down to your guys opinions when the actual video shows something else.

...and Ariza isnt getting suspended, NBA already said he wouldnt

Just because he didn't get suspended doesn't mean anything. The NBA is a fucking mess when it comes to doing the correct thing. Like I said earlier if it was Joel fouling Kobe there would be a lot different outcome to the F2 and the NBA would suspend Joel for at least a couple games.

Thank you...at least YOU really saw what happened.

Now we can at least argue the next part...

You dont think them hitting each other in the wrist would make Ariza's wrist move forward to do that curling action? I do. That part happens in a split second. He doesnt know their arms are about to hit...he's spotting his landing

just pointing it out

A lot of Different NBA Fans voted on that poll. Including Raptor fans (like myself) and Nets fans. 13-2 for no
Yea, I was about to say that. I think non-Blazers/Lakers fans also don't think it was intentional. Careless and stupid, yes. But not intentional.

At some point, I imagine you may start to wonder just how worth it pushing things this far is to you regarding your future conversations on this board.
