LaMarcus Aldridge named All-NBA Third Team along with San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginobili and the New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul at guard, the Memphis Grizzlies’ Zach Randolph at forward, and the Atlanta Hawks’ Al Horford at center.

Good Company, he deserves it. Can't wait to see even more progression next year!

Congrats to LMA. I look forward to seeing him progress even further next year as he develops his left hand, more post moves and a face-up game!

Awesome.

But Kobe making first team over Paul or Wade is sort of a joke. Westbrook making 2nd team over CP is also a joke.

Popularity contest. But I congratulate LMA just because he is starting to get public notarity. Next step is to make the all-star game, then move up from there.

Westbrook deserved 2nd team over CP3. He had a better season and his team is still playing. Now if CP3 had both menisci... :MARIS61:

I didn't think cp3 had a good year either. He started out well, and played well in the playoffs (Which does not count) but overall I thought he had a down year.

Congrats to LMA!

Yay for LaMarcus!

Next season I think him and Wallace have a shot at BOTH making it to the all-star game. With Melo gone there is Durant at SF in the west and thats basically it!

Only problem would be with Dirk/Love/Griffin/Pau/Zbo/Duncan they may fill the forward spots with all PF's.

Fantastic. LaMarcus transformation during the middle of the season, from a jump shooting Robin to Roy's Batman, into a beast of the paint and cornerstone of the team offense was the biggest positive to happen to the Blazers this year.

A well deserved honor for LMA. It's been fun watching him develop his game over the years, and exercising patience in doing so when he was drafted as a project.

There should be 2 categories for LMA.

The "Brandon Roy's in a suit tonight" LaMonster who puts up 25/12 (or whatever) should be 2nd-Team and All-Star
The "Brandon Roy's going to play at some point tonight" who puts up 18/8 should be "nice young player"

So where does LA rank in the NBA now? Roy at his peak, was top 10. Don't think LA is there yet.

Here's my ranking:
1. LBJ
2. Dwight
3. Rose
4. CP
5. Wade
6. KD
7. Dirk
8. Deron
9. Bryant
10. Melo
11. Westbrook
12. Amare
13. LA?
14. Gasol
15. ZBo
16. Griffin
17. Rondo
18. Pierce
19. Manu
20. Nash

Howard 2nd best?

I strongly disagree.

Dwight certainly has flaws in his game, but his impact on the defensive end supersedes the offensive impact of the guys behind him.

To continue about LA further though, I think he has what it takes to crack top 10 next season if he develops a move going left, and better ball handling skills.

I'd go:

1. LeBron James
2. Dwight Howard
3. Chris Paul
4. Dwyane Wade
5. Kevin Durant
6. Dirk Nowitzki
7. Deron Williams
8. Derrick Rose
9. Russell Westbrook
10. Pau Gasol
11. Kobe Bryant
12. LaMarcus Aldridge
13. Amare Stoudemire
14. Rajon Rondo
15. Carmelo Anthony

Rose and Durant belong in the top 5, IMO.

My top 5 would probably look like this:
1. Lebron
2. Rose
3. Wade
4. Durant
5. Dirk

Howard just isn't a game changer like people make him out to be.

Are you kidding? Explain yourself.

He can effect a game on the defensive side, sure. But, from an offensive standpoint, he's good, not as great as people make him out to be. In the 90's he probably would probably be the 4th or 5th best Center.

He's basically Alonzo Mourning in my eyes. A solid, solid Center. But, not a force.

That said, you put him around another star and its a championship caliber team. There's 5 other guys I'd rather have if I was a GM though.
