LaMarcus Aldridge: Player of the Week

Clearly, my criticism go through to Aldridge. I lit a fire under him after that awful effort against New Orleans. This award makes me very happy.

Clearly, Aldridge was disappointed about his place on the "hottest NBA player" list. He was then even more enraged that you didn't specifically mention his hotness.

Thus, the lighting of Aldridge's fire.

Hurry up and trade him for Ed Davis

In all seriousness. I just don't think there is any scenario that would give Portland an advantage in a deal. If the rumor for Harden was actually true; that would be the only one I see making sense.

Regardless, there aren't too many PFs these days actually demanding doubles. In fact, I think I can only count as many on one hand. I don't think he's a batman; but he's definitely an important Robin. Maybe more of a Robin in "Teen Titans".

I don't know if you've noticed my Batum, Lillard, Aldridge trio thread. I know you aren't too high on Batum; but this trio could be very valuable next season.

Rumor for Harden? There was no rumor for Harden. It was people here saying they'd move him for Harden.

Yes, it was just Natebishop's dream.

There was more than Nate. I loved a Harden-Ibaka deal. As did quite a few others. Some scoffed at that deal here. But that seems really unlikely from OKC's side.

Oh, well I came in on the back end of it. My mistake. So in reality, there was zero decent return on a Aldridge.

Everyone watching Harden play knew he was going to do well as the main option. The guy is simply a stud at getting to the hoop and the FT line. He shoots well and can pass better than most (if not all) shooting guards.

It's strange that ZBo probably had quite a bit to do with LA rediscovering the post.

Well, that says a lot about this forum at that time. :biglaugh:

Well in my defense; I hate that fucking team. I think all players, except for the player we should have picked needs to live a life of mediocracy. My hatred overcomes my rationale. ;)

At least you're truthful about it, Mags.

I remember falling in love with Harden's playing style last season. He didn't do his best in the playoffs against the Spurs, but I had a good feeling about him.

There is no question that Harden will be the best SG in the league soon. He's a beast!

someone in that thread was obnoxious about Harden as a role player, lol.

I still think he's a better #2 than a franchise player. Had the Blazers been able to get Harden and keep LMA, then you make a deal.

How is Harden less a franchise player than LMA is, who you said was a franchise player, who you wouldn't trade for Harden AND Ibaka?

This is why arguing about make-believe trades is such an exercise in futility.

Is this Drag Up Old Threads from the Past week?

It was in direct reference to Hobbes saying everyone knew he'd be a #1. Instead of just saying wrong, I offered him proof of it. Sorry it had to resurface your laughable opinions on Harden.

Harden scoring single digits in 3/4 of the NBA Finals games isn't an opinion. It's a fact.

Yes it is. We can just ignore the rest of your stupidity in that thread.

OK, whatever makes you feel superior.
