Lamonster slowly reemerging

44 rebounds in the last 3 games. Over 9 for the season. His post moves are becoming much smoother (that up and under move for an and 1 on cousins). He missed a dunk last night but he looks much more energetic. I think Lamonster shows up in a big way tonight and for the rest of the season

He looks bulkier and more powerful in his post moves. But does he look a bit slow to anyone else too? I love that he's able to uproot defenders, but I still want him to be able to dunk on the fast break. It will come with more conditioning I suppose.

When I listened to that Steven A Smith link that was posted in the NBA thread he mentioned how valuable he thought Felton was to LMA. Im not sure I feel that way yet about Felton and LMA.

What a monster year for a 24 year old. Those numbers for Brandon were DWade esque.

No, other than this year and his rookie year, Wade's stats are way better. He wasn't wade esque, he was Roy. He played completely different than Wade. The only thing really in common was their position.

After missing the abbreviated preseason and a slow start after coming into the season fresh off minor heart surgery, Aldridge is having a career year. He's postng career highs in most advanced stats, including:

PER: 23.2, previous career high 21.5
TRB%: 14.1, previous career high 13.9
AST%: 14.5,previous career high 10.1
STL%: 1.7, previous career high 1.4
DRtg: 100, previous career best 107
WS/48: 0.201, previous career high 0.166

Also posting career highs in:
PTS/36: 22.0, previous career high 19.8
REB/36: 8.9, previous career high 8.1
AST/36: 2.7, previous career high 2.0
STL/36: 1.2, previous career high 0.9

In fact, other than shot blocking, he's improving on his pervious career bests in almost every category. What I think is most impressive is the way he has learned to pass out of the double teams. He's now making teams pay for doubling him. His AST% has improved every year he's been in the league. He's becoming a compete player.

I have been very impressed. Even if a few close shots don't go his way he is still taking the ball deep inside. In years past after a few close in post ups he's drift to the outside and want to shoot long jumpers. He'd get discouraged if he missed a lay-in and stay on the perimeter or pass up shots. Now he is continously going into the paint to collapse the defense. He will get his own points regardless of how he plays, yes he can get points only shooting jumpers, but with him going inside it opens up the court for the rest of the team. He is now able to go to his left when the defense dares him to.

LaMarcus is playing as a top10 player not just at his position, but in the entire NBA!

I hope Nate keeps his minutes under 35 because that is the only thing that will slow him down this year.
