Larry Miller resigned as president

The old "I know you are but what am I" defense.

Pulling up two-year threads as a "gotcha" smacks of being in emotional control.

The poster I was responding to had only about 5 posts total (I think he's up to 8 now). I pulled it up because I thought "who is this guy" so I looked up his posting history, and found the rather amusing DEAD CENTER thread as his other contribution to the board. If that makes me 'in emotional control' then I plead guilty to that.

Besides, I'm only 2 years old... what do you expect from me?

Helllloooooo! Did you call??

You gotta admit that the puppet from Crank Yankers bears an uncanny resemblance no?

Keep spouting how great the Democratic leadership of this State is as you continue to buy less and less each year with your paycheck, if you're lucky enough to have one.
Umm...you talkin' to me? OK Rush, whatever you hallucinate. Just keep putting words in my mouth I've never spoken if it takes the edge off the drugs.

First, this new baby poster BlazersWin threw a temper tantrum, then PapaG continued derailing the thread.

HCP, where are you when we need you? You nail the smart rookies, but miss an asshole like this one.

Back on topic...

The job of president is to make the team profitable - it is an extremely important job.
I have no doubt that Miller did a good job of it. But, I'm glad he's gone. Why?
Because he could and sometimes did give entire press conferences and not say anything - which
I found most annoying.

So, just to be clear....

Is this thread about Oregon politics or Larry Miller resigning? Just want to know before I respond.

Umkthanx! :dunno:

This forum is loaded with some really immature people.

The responses here all come from people with the minds of 8-year olds.

Seriously, not one poster has shown the maturity of being over 8 years old.

I was so much older then; I'm younger than that now.

Leave the political comments to someone more mature than a 2-year old.

...stated by the fan whose moniker resembles that of a baby. barfo? What are you, two?

Good question! Maybe the Blazers should just hire whoever loses the presidential election. Look you may not be good enough to run the country, but you can run the Blazers!

I would support Romney for President of the Blazers, absolutely.

Larry Miller >>>>>> x 10 >>>> Steve Patterson & Bob

Ok, I'll bite: what's so great about Larry Miller? He might be great, I really don't know at all - judging him only by his public comments is clearly not a fair way to evaluate his overall job performance - but that's all the data I have. Fill me in.

I've met a few times. Extremely nice, friendly and knowledgeable.

Not sure if that makes him a good team president but he's a cool dude.

Ranting psychotic troll, please. Go. Back. To. Your. Hole.

What qualifications does Dudley have? As blazers pres or governor?

Just got off work...... what did I miss? A Rook not knowing his place?

Well let's see

1. Graduated from Yale with a double major (Poli-sci and Economics)
2. Served as Executive Treasurer of the NBA Players Association and a member of the Players Association Negotiating Committee
3. Created his own charitable foundation
4. Vice President of M Financial Wealth Management
5. Raised millions for his campaign

Sounds like a decent candidate to me?

As for Governor, he didn't have the right qualifications for Oregon.

1. He was republican
2. He hadn't failed miserably before
3. He didn't admit that he couldn't do the job the first time

Be nice to see a Republican in office. Jus sayin' :)

That's a nice qualification, but there are literally thousands of people with similarly impressive credentials. One doesn't usually get an executive job based on an undergraduate degree.

2. Served as Executive Treasurer of the NBA Players Association and a member of the Players Association Negotiating Committee

This is the only relevant experience he has, and it's a bit thin. Compare, for instance, to someone who has actually worked for a sports team for a few years in an executive capacity.

3. Created his own charitable foundation

So has Rasheed Wallace, right?

4. Vice President of M Financial Wealth Management

If the job was investing Paul's money, this might be a relevant qualification. I think Duds might actually be more useful to Paul as a money manager than as team President.

5. Raised millions for his campaign

So has Nancy Pelosi, right?

He certainly wouldn't be the worst possible choice. I'm sure he could learn on the job. I'd hope, though, that after hiring someone from outside the business last time, Paul will be looking for someone with experience this time.

I lean to the right, but definitely have some liberal views on certain things (gay marriage, abortion, and others. Kitz is a fucking idiot is all

Dude, you live in Texas... I guess you'd know an idiot governor when you see one.

Qualifications necessary to run for Governor:

Democrat: Get elected to lower political jobs. Build up to the top for years.

Republican: Be overpaid all your life, making millions for a boy's game. Make the first office you ever run for, Governor. Candidates who have paid their dues are just career politicians.
