An expansion team, not a current franchise moving there. Personally I think this is a bad idea. Im all for having a team in Vegas but it should be the Coyotes moving there, not a new franchise. However, this may allow the Rangers an opportunity to enter some of the overpaid players into the expansion draft following this season.

The NHL keeps saving the Rangers from themselves, lol. First by introducing the salary cap so we can't give out retarded contracts to old rejects, then by allowing to buy out contracts and now by an expansion franchise.

Let them 'gamble' on Girardi or Staal but i doubt it's a 'winning hand'.

Well, thats the thing...players with No Movement clauses in their contract cannot be entered in the expansion draft and MUST be included on the protected players list, of which only 8 skaters can be protected. So.....which players have NMC contracts?
