As we should know by now after watching him playing for years and years there's two Lillard:

1) Good Lillard --> his shots fall, his confidence rises and he starts hitting some crazy shots that puts him in superstar level
2) Bad Lillard --> his shots don't fall, he loses a little big confidence and his potential is halve

I always hoped that his streak of superstar level games could coincide with the start of the playoffs and this year was the case with the OKC series.

But now, after 3 bad games (i don't care what anybody says about him still scoring 20+ points, those were BAD games) it seems like bad Lillard has come back.

Fortunately for him we are not facing Duncan's Spurs but two playoffs rookie in Jokic and Murray so the series is still on BUT NOW THERE'S NO COMING BACK, HE HAS TO DELIVER BIG TIME.

I started seeing in the thread people wondering if he was injured, HELL NO, those are excuses, we all should know that there's two Lillard.

I don't care if he gets pressured by Denver defense, EVERY STAR IN THE PLAYOFFS GETS PRESSURED BUT STILL DELIVERS.

This is kinda a last call for him because i don't think we will ever get the chance to reach the Western Conference Finals with such "easy" path (obviously it wasn't that easy but hey, we have to admit that the two best teams are on the other side of the bracket).

You are in your prime, YOU CAN'T GET OUTPLAYED BY A PLAYOFFS ROOKIE IN MURRAY.

C'mon Dame, it's time to take it to the next level if you want to face the Warriors for the last time in your Oak-town.

Only thing that shocks me is he lets this inexperienced Denver take away his western conference finals appearance

He will never have an easier opponent in the 2nd round ever.. smh

That is what i just said above.

I don't think people realize how greedy of an occasion this is and we are letting this slips away.

And the forum has officially gone to hell.

Naw man your just a homer bro.. Denver never has been in the playoffs with their nucleus. In fact their home court advantage is trash.

But somehow we can’t beat them twice at the house. It’s weird to me man.. their city doesn’t even care if they advance past this round

I don’t understand why we can’t smack this team?

Lillard step the fuck up smh

Lmao. Its already official, you dont need to post more to confirm it further.

BonesJones can you propose arguments instead of digs?

Tell me what's wrong with what i just said.

Is Lillard in his prime? yes
Is Murray a rookie in the playoffs? yes

Give me a reason why he should get outplayed by the canadian.

I don't care about pressure, Jokic is always double/triple teamed but he's still averaging a triple double and he is a playoffs rookie too.

Dame has given us AN HISTORIC first round so i promised i wouldn't complain in the 2nd round but at the same time i can't ignore tha fact that this is a huge opportunity, something we might look at 10 years from now and say "hey, we were so close to the WCF and we just fell short against a beatable Denver team".

Dude I don't think his biggest problem with you is that he thinks you are wrong, his biggest problem with you is that this should have been posted in a game thread. There's really no reason that it needed it's own thread.

Good post and i dont think it's hate, you speak facts, Lillard is a superstar and he has to play like a superstar and he has to deliver like a superstar. Stop with all these excuses, nobody cares. He is in his prime and opponent has two Playoff rookies, he has to deliver!

Dont be a part of the crew.

The Crew: Tunchi, Blazer4Ever, and Portland2014.

Aka the crew that couldnt even describe how Dame's being defended, but are the 1st to make a pointless thread calling him out, or about him needed to "step up".

Included:
BS quotes like "hEs bEiNg oUtPlAyEd bY a PlAyOfF rOoKiE". They disregard the fact that Dame is seeing two bodies constantly and Murray is able to get clean looks all game long due to Portland defensive strategy. They do this so that they can post surface level, trolling BS while passing off others as "homers" as if theyre in the know, yet wouldnt know how to hold a conversation about the defensive scheme Lillard is seeing.
Or the Tunchi special: "Such and such so nice brooo".

Dont be that guy.

I have a problem with this poster. Look through his posting history and you'll see why. And I get tired of surface level takes from people bashing Dame.

Dame struggled in the second and third but played well in the fourth as he normally does. The problem is we couldn’t get stops. Barton and Harris hit timely shots over and over that didn’t allow us to get close enough for Dame to win it at the end.

Heres the problem. Dame is being picked up at half court most possessions. Harris, Craig, Beasley, have all done a really good job of making it over screens to contest his pull up 3’s. So weve seen him decide he’s going to drive and theres a lot of contact that in the regular season they’re called as fouls, but in the playoffs arent being called.

Id love for Dame to be playing better, especially to stop jumping in the air and getting stuck up there. Have to give credit to Denver though, they’re basically in his jersey with multiple looks every-time he touches the ball.

Murray’s been good no doubt but its a by product of Milsap and Jokic. Without Nurk they’re at a huge disadvantage in the paint, they cant stop them. They’re throwing bodies at those guys and are still giving up offensive rebounds, and Murray is being played straight up because they cant double 3 players effectively. The Murray is better than Dame narrative thats being written is just false. Murray’s very good but that injury to Nurk has changed everything about how Portlands playing defense and Murrays been the guy who has taken advantage of it.

Not trying to be part of this crew, but I will say, "Murray is nice". The guy can ball. Credit where credit is earned.

Your only problem is you like to argue with anyone and everyone. Why do you feel the need to always respond in attack mode? Let it go.

That sounds an awful lot like an argument. Have a nice day!

It may sound like it to you, but rest assured it's not from my side and an argument takes 2 people so I guess it isn't an argument. Have a nice day yourself.

Dame goes for the foul far to much. He should know by now that he is not going to get the call most of the time. He needs to go for the shot, not jump in the air and throw the ball away hoping for a whistle, then be surprised when he doesn't get it.

disagree....Dame's shot was coming up short all night...he decided to take it to the rack and problem was, he missed too many free throws...Dame did what he should have done but split to many freebies at the line
