Why did Logan start the ninth inning?
...LHed batters.
Just Girardi being Girardi. You put Robinson in there to close the game. Case closed.
...Robinson was the one who nearly gave it away...the last batter did him and the Yanx a favor by swinging at ball 4 (a ball up in his eyes) which would have tied the game.
Logan had one job to do and failed.
^^^ yeah, I think they'll either try to get yet another year out of Kuroda or will pickup another front end starter during the off season...and then fill out the rest of the staff with some of the youngsters.

... the ONLY reason Logan, or Robertson for that matter, was put in that situation, was because Mo had "failed" and was unavailable to pitch the 9th.
Like who? there is no one out there...
I think it had more to do with him being tired and needing some rest
...there's always the possibility of a trade.
...as far as FAs, what about Garza?...and KC may or may not pick up Shields' option.
...hammer, "front end" is relative, don't you think?...if Kuroda is not resigned, Garza would likely be the Yanx' #2 starter. Hell, if CC does not improve and pitch like he's capable, Garza might be their #1.
...do you consider James Shields as a "front end starter"?
...not sure where else you'd place someone like Garza in the rotation who has already proven he can pitch in the AL East and has pretty good numbers overall.
