Heard the Broadcast Team discuss a Lupica (I never read him) stating that A-rods return has spoiled Mo's last summer as a Yankee. References were made to press & media attention. I'be been a Yankees Fan since '55 and sure don't car about Arod over Mo, what do you fans think about that?

The state of the team has done more to spoil it if you were to ask me.

Remember that quote Griffey Jr made when the strike hit in '94. "I picked a bad year to have a good year. Same can be said for Mo I guess. Kuroda pitching well tonight, Arod looking dumb on the base paths, and the offense on coffee break.

It's depressing watching this offense. Especially when Kuroda has a one hitter thru six innings.

nunez needs a net not a glove. He sucks in the field

It's power displays like that which make you never 100% sold on letting Granderson go.

Why did Logan start the ninth inning?

...no reason for that runner to reach 3B.

...thanx ARod, you not only don't make the play on the blooper, you stand there and watch as a runner goes from 1st to 3rd...great job, jagoff.

Damn, another near heart attack caused by Boone Baboon and Drob who finally sacked up. Was'nt A-rod simply a gem tonight??????????????

Just Girardi being Girardi. You put Robinson in there to close the game. Case closed.

...Robinson was the one who nearly gave it away...the last batter did him and the Yanx a favor by swinging at ball 4 (a ball up in his eyes) which would have tied the game.

Very lucky tonight. I'll take it, but if you think this season proved how spoiled we have been as fans, wait till next year when Mo ain't walking through that door.

...yeah, very lucky. It's kinda weird how our psyches have changed this year. I mean, we used to get to the later innings and knew those games were usually W's for us...now, we wait for the seemingly inevitable collapse.

Oh the days of Nelson, Stanton, and MO. It was a six inning game for an average of 90-100 wins per year. Mo has done his job in such away that it was as close to automatic as a baseball game can get. Next year, we need another power lefty for the pen, and the emergence of either Kelley, Clairborne, possible Betances for the 8th and pray that Drob can bust the breaking ball.

Logan had one job to do and failed.

^^^ yeah, I think they'll either try to get yet another year out of Kuroda or will pickup another starter during the off season...and then fill out the rest of the staff with some of the youngsters.

(edited with hopes that it won't be misconstrued)

Kuroda is pitching like one of the best in baseball right now. They need him for another year.

Like who? there is no one out there...

... the ONLY reason Logan, or Robertson for that matter, was put in that situation, was because Mo had "failed" and was unavailable to pitch the 9th.

I think it had more to do with him being tired and needing some rest

... he was tired and unavailable because he had failed 3 games in a row and hence threw a lot of pitches. (81 pitches in 4 innings)

...there's always the possibility of a trade.

...as far as FAs, what about Garza?...and KC may or may not pick up Shields' option.

Garza is not a front end starter as you put it... are there pitchers out there, yes, but front end starters.... may only be available by trade

...hammer, "front end" is relative, don't you think?...if Kuroda is not resigned, Garza would likely be the Yanx' #2 starter. Hell, if CC does not improve and pitch like he's capable, Garza might be their #1.

...do you consider James Shields as a "front end starter"?

...not sure where else you'd place someone like Garza in the rotation who has already proven he can pitch in the AL East and has pretty good numbers overall.

The hope is that this is a season after surgery down year for CC and he bounces back next year. Get Kuroda back and a CC, Kuroda, Nova, Pineda and a fifth would be pretty good.

...messiah, like you, I am assuming that Nova has finally figured things out...he's looked pretty damned good recently.

just using your words... I don't think Garza is a front end starter no matter how you slice it...
