Julius is quite right. I can't help but think of those gay preachers that are so vehemently against homosexuality and then it gets leaked they are closeted homosexuals. I think it's time to come out of the star wars closet and stop pointing fingers at everyone else HCP.

I'm far more interested in the new features it will have than what it looks like.

I've got a droid that I'm reasonably happy with, but giving some thought to an iPhone. That said, I'm definitely sticking with Verizon and it seems like they always play games with which wireless companies will carry the new phones. My contract is up on August, so maybe I'll hold off upgrading until they make some announcements.

Anyone here had both a droid and an iphone that feels strongly one way or another?

Used to have an Android, then switched and have NEVER looked back! iPhones are amazing.

I think I'm a style over substance kind of guy...... They could have no new features and as long as it has a dope design, The HCP would be happy.

I was all set to jump to the I phone, but then got the Galaxy 3. Now I am torn

lol wow, so if the phone was the exact same thing as the iphone 4, just looked a little cooler, you would buy it?

Does this surprise you? Does this really surprise anyone?

Is this crazy? Kinda like a new body style of a car right? I love my Audi, but I just saw the NEW 2013 A6. It has the same options and engine as mine, but I would love to have that new one instead. Lol, really?

How did they get the pictures of Mrs. HCP on the prototype iPhone 5?

I scared.

I just went to an iphone 5 forum (http://forums.imore.com/iphone-5-forum/) trying to catch a clue when it'd be available (Sep. 21 is the current estimate) and whether it would be available at Verizon. Clicking on a thread that I hoped would tell me Verizon, AT&T or both Verizon and AT&T would carry the iphone 5, this is what I found:

" found an interesting article about LTE phones from CDMA carriers (Verizon) and GSM carriers (AT&T) The Radio Performance Disparity of the Galaxy Nexus on GSM and CDMA - Mobile Central - Binary Outcast

I am hoping people can chime in on their thoughts about the article.

Here is my problem, I have ATT right now and my contract is over. LTE is on for both ATT (June 2012) and Verizon (October 11) but I am about 3-5 miles from the closest working tower but it sounds like LTE will come to my area by the end of the year. Is there anyway to tell if the iphone for Verizon will be using a CDMA2000 device that uses a VIA Telecom CDMA baseband modem? I had an HTC Rezound for a day that worked great in an LTE area but when I was in my town that only had 3g Verizon it had a terrible time working correctly, especially where I worked because of the weak signal. I am afraid that a Verizon device may have a lot of trouble with my work area and handling CDMA/LTE like the article states.

Are you better off with GSM LTE devices or CDMA LTE devices.

I have posted the article below:

The Radio Performance Disparity of the Galaxy Nexus on GSM and CDMA

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It's Google's flagship phone that is designed to complement the Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” operating system software. With high end specifications (for 2011) and highly optimized software, the Galaxy Nexus is supposed to show off what Android can really do without any interference from carriers and OEMs. However, that wound up not truly being the case in the United States with the CDMA/LTE variant for Verizon Wireless and Sprint."

Lol ... I have NO idea idea what most of that means. Is it good or bad to be a binary outcast? I thought our forum was pretty geeky and I thought I was pretty geeky, but now realize that it could be worse for all of us. There was one 12 page thread about whether the new iphone 5 should have an LED indicator light indicating you have an email. 12 pages.

New iphone 5 is officially announced...looks pretty interesting, but no near field chip (but I'm not sure I'd use that anyway.) Anyone have good pro/con scoop about it? I'm thinking I'll probably make the change from Android, but would love scoop from the ubergeeks on this board.

I'm not that impressed, I think I'm gonna stick with my 4s for now.

oh it's definitely worth it for you, they have made a ton of improvements from 4 to 5. I was hoping for some cool feature that was so awesome that I just had to get it even though I've only had the 4s a year.

i might get it
i might not

depends on how i feel at the store, i hate waiting for those slow ass fuckers. the technology is whatevz. either this or a galaxy S3 for me

with the galaxy sIII has removable battery and i still can get insurance on it

on the iphone I can put an international sim card in it.

I've heard the iPhone 5 is almost as good as the Galaxy S III. At this point it's just about which interface you prefer.

I'm used to android. just concerned with its integration with google which I use primarily. I don't want to get on the icloud because they crippled it on blackberries with syncing and probably might in the future with google.
