If he were hitting like Manny you would be hearing it's just Pablo being Pablo. Boy am I glad that's not the chase. That dick is going to eat himself out of the game in 2 years - I don't care how acrobatic he makes things look at his age.

...yeah, it's much easier for a younger guy to carry that much weight around (listed as 255 lbs)...but what's he gonna be like 4-5 years from now?

Sandoval is not a dominating offensive player. He's not terrible but he made his name in the post season. I don't know what they were expecting from him when you look at his regular season stats.

Either... It shouldn't be the reason and it seems like that is what everything was implying

...well, I don't know what to tell you. Again, Pablo is not the only reason Farrell is on thin ice. Like has been pointed out multiple times, there's a lot more to it than that. If the Sox were winning or even playing .500 ball this would not be as big of an issue.

...I'm sure Francona will agree that though it was not the only reason, the chicken/beer thing was the "nail in the coffin" for him getting fired, and in a way, Theo too. Public relations and public perception are a big part of ownerships decisions too...especially in Boston where they've always been neurotic.

...here's another article that essentially makes the same observations as the other;

...probably the same illusion the Yanx saw in Headley.

Yeah, $19M per for 5 years is not looking like a bargain.

The Boston media zoo would put anyone
on thin ice................
except for Tom Brady,
Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft. Hmmmmm.

Six super bowl appearances by that regime will do that.

Farrell,...lmao......fat papi made him. ◀(WS championship)

Farrell....imo.....is full of SHIT!

I agree it's not the only reason.... I'm just saying it seemed like it was being seen as the only reason....

In the end, it's Red Sox drama I'm happy we don't have
