Not many teams win championships with 3 white starters. That's just because of the scarcity of white players at the higher level, not because they're limited. Generally, they do have slower foot speed then African-American's, but that's not the rule for many white players, and foot speed is a very small variable in terms of defensive ability.
UCLA had Alford, one of the best Bruins of all-time, and a lights out shooter that complimented Ball well. Using Lavar's logic, one could say they would've been worse with a black player at that position instead of Alford because that black player wouldn't be the floor spacer Lonzo needs because that black player relies off his speed in quickness to score instead of working on his jumpshot.
UCLA had Leaf, who is ANOTHER floor spacer for Ball at PF, and is gonna be a 1st round pick this year. Another dude that compliments Ball well offensively, and who's foot speed isn't a factor because he's a PF. Welsh is a spacer because he has the best mid-range jumpshot for a big man in the country (at the college level). That dude was lights-out.
Leaf and Welsh are both big man, so how is their footspeed a factor in them losing the game?
