The Blazers need a win!

For some reason, I want to see how Hammer will do if gets matched up with Jennings.

Well call me crazy, but I don't.

You think he'll get burned? It's interesting all the hoopla over Johnson that followed game 1 against the Suns. Since then....not so much. I'm pullin' for the kid, though.

Nope. My feeling with Armon is that he needs some time to make his game a little bit more rounded before he gets court time. I know he plays hard, but IMO, he should not be taking minutes away from any of our other guards, which in turn takes minutes from Batum. See when Armon plays PG, that means Rudy and Wesley shift over to SG and SF. When Wesley takes minutes at SF, that takes minutes from Batum. It also leaves a portion of the game where Mathews is left often defending a much larger opponent for a large part of the game, and then when that happens, sometimes weird shit like Luol Deng getting a career high happen. I would rather we have a section of the game where Roy plays SF, out there with Rudy and Mathews, which gives the Blazers the ability to have plenty of size on the court, but plenty of passing too. That is a strong second unit. I can't say that when Armon is on the floor. He is not a complete player yet.

It just seems like there are too many reasons for the Blazers not to play well:

We got smoked last night so they should be plenty motivated.

Batum didnt play great last night so he should be motivated.

Matthews didnt play great and he is playing in front of his "home" crowd.

Roy didnt play great.

We play well in back to backs.

Its the last game of the road trip.

Our bench really hasnt had a great game lately and our bench should outperfrom their bench.

If we lose tonight I would be pretty disappointed. Im not saying we WILL but I am saying there a lot reasons why we should at least play well and this should be the type of team that if we play well against that we should win against.

I like quite a few players on their bench, so don't take them lightly. Ilyasova is better than any of our backup forward currently playing, and Corey Maggetti has had a lot of good games against the Blazers. So really, I don't see what you are talking about. I haven't got to see this crew play together yet since Corey Maggetti showed up, but on paper, they look like they can put some points on the board.

I think the offense and defense looks pretty bad when Rudy, Matthews or Roy is the "point guard" though.

It doesn't look like smooth velvet when Johnson is in either. At least one of those guys has a record of putting up 20 5 and 5 a game. The other, not so much.

Elliot Williams activated........ Patty on IR

Very classy from the Bulls and Bucks for their moments of silence before the games to pay tribute to Maurice..

Nic is in a little bit of a funk offensively ... and defensively.

Awful start. It's looking just like last night so far.

Wow Batum is just playing terrible right now. Missed shots, sloppy passes, and giving up open looks...

I hope he gets it together soon.

Nobody are hitting their jumpers , maybe we should start attacking the rim instead?

If we are relying on Camby and Andre jumpshots, this is going to be a brutal night.

How much of a sample size for Miller do we need before we can conclude he's not the right PG for this team?
