When is the country going to wake up, quit spending the money fighting this ($10 billion in one california county alone last year) and figure out that we could be putting all that money to better use. Like going back into the tax payer pocket, and having Marijuana taxes pay for government services. Here we are in a financial crisis, and were burning money fighting pot. Were keeping law enforcement from paying attention to critical matters that really matter. Like murder, rape, and amazingly enough, border control. Top it off with the fact that jails are commonly letting rapist and thieves out on the street due to a lack of Prison beds and because Marijuana posession is still considered a heavier offense than those two crimes. That's right, carrying an amount of Marijuana is more serious than rape or being a thief. Even assault. Anybody who has smoked the ganja knows this is complete bullshit. That's what happens when your law makers make laws about something they know nothing about. Now you know why most of our laws are fucked up, and why our country is the way it is.
