He’s so annoying holy fuck acting like he’s smarter than everyone with his generic thoughts. This is what happens when you don’t have anyone in your life to check you.

I hate to say it but LeBron is right they ran the Players real hard in the shortened season NOW did he do all he said he did who knows but like i said IF he did say it then he is 1000% correct and the NBA should be ashamed of themselves.

LeBron took a ton of time off this season. Teams were resting guys... I mean, if you need a break take a break. Especially All Stars.

Just cause you think LeBron is an ass and i cannot totally disagree do not let the fact the basic part of what he said is correct. The quick turn around and compressed schedule DID hurt players in the long run and the part DID James speak up and say this well who knows but the basic point was correct. Also the NBA lost money during the shortened season so next year -- let's have a mini Tourny middle of season -- all about the $$$$ and screw the players. Maybe it's about money for the players too but even i kind have saw this coming with the quick turnaround.

My impression is that most teams compensated for the condensed season by having less practices and lighter practices, Not buying his argument.

AD and Kawhi are both going to get injured regardless.

excuses excuses. thats all he ever gives. fuck lebron.

I don't get the hate. LeBron did call this before the season started. The NBA had an unprecedentedly short off season followed by it's most compact season ever. Now we end up with so many stars missing in these playoffs that it will affect the ratings. The NBA and NBAPA went for the money grab move which is not a shocker and did so without regard for the players' health. People can say that teams can manage their players' loads but that provides some competitive disadvantage. The good news is that next season looks like it will be back on normal schedule and that's all we have to look forward to and all LeBron has to look forward to as well.

Was LeBron's blowup today sour grapes because of AD getting injured? Yes. Did he have a foundation to complain from due to his earlier comments and now fulfilled prognostications? Yes.

1) The @Scalma post above refutes this
2) It feels like whining/blaming the nba for his playoff failures/trying to protect his legacy/feeling his window closing

I have no idea why, but I’m surprised people are questioning Lebron here. I read it and it doesn’t come across as excuse making. Stars are dropping like flies. I don’t know - and we might not ever know- if it’s due to the season/Covid, but it’s worth looking into at least. If Lillard said this we wouldn’t see the same reaction.

LeBron James is the poster boy for all that is wrong in the NBA today. And Durant, Irving, Davis et al are his posse of coattail riding, self absorbed bloated egos that help keep the big markets in the driver’s seat. Fuck them all, big and small. They are eventually going to kill the golden goose. It’s very hard to root for self absorbed assholes who seem to think they actually matter more to this world than anyone else. There’s a reason they are paid the big bucks…..so I wish they’d just play the game and shut the fuck up………unless it’s about legitimate social issues. At least then they have a platform that actually matters…….

All my kids had to work long shifts during covid, a couple worked in a hospital where it was dangerous.

Exactly. There are a lot of people out there picking up the slack for everyone else and these overpaid jerks act like they’re making some kind of sacrifice. I know a lot of these guys grew up poor, but once their talent was recognized (usually a a very young age) they have had their asses kissed and their sense of self importance blown all out of any kind of proportion. They forget there is a real world out there, and that their actual contributions to it are mostly superficial at the end of the day. I just can’t find a reason to feel any kind of sympathy for them in this particular situation.
