OT LeBron James said Kyle Rittenhouse should 'knock it off' after the teen cried during murder trial

And I guess America is just the most mentally fucked up place, why we have school shootings as often as parent teacher conferences
We have the worst gini coefficient of any western country.
Because of that, we have more crime, poverty, lower education scores, higher birth mortality, more expensive Healthcare with typically less successful outcomes. For example, we are the only industrialized country with a steadily rising maternal death rate.

Yes, we are steadily fucking up the middle class, pushing them to lower class. And it's causing a great many problems.

And not uplifting the lower class. But I guess for there to be an upper class there has to be a lower class. The lower class has to expand as the rich get richer, hence the middle class disappearing.

I'm not just talking about Lanza. There are many many others sadly who took their parents guns and used them in mass shootings.

I did know codes, but a gun safe code is one kids shouldn't be privy too...nor should a key to it be left around on a hook for easy access.

Teaching kids about gun safety is great, but it's not good enough. Kids are still kids.

I wouldn't teach my son about the dangers of guns and then leave a gun where he could get it. He is still a kid.

Alot of these shootings could have been prevented. Your answer is, well we can't stop our kids from getting their hands on our guns. Kids will be kids. Oh well, let's throw our hands up and shrug our shoulders.
I promise you that you cannot hide your key in a place your 12 year old is unable to find it. Nobody treats their kids like criminals that way. You're home. You let your guard down. You love your kids.

I didn't say anything about throwing our hands up. I suggested changes that can actually save hundreds of thousands of lives per year.

Being as strict as possible on gun safes will possibly save a life every now and then, but it will result in a great many law abiding citizens having their 4th ammendment rights violated, fined or thrown in jail, thereby increasing the financial burden on the rest of us, breaking up a possibly healthy family and further reducing the workforce.

To maybe save 1 life? What's to stop this kid from coming up with a couple hundred bucks and buying a 3d printed gun from a friend? I guarantee you there is at least 1 kid in every school in America who knows how to 3d print a working gun in a week. Fully automatic.

You can not prevent motivated kids from getting guns. It's impossible.

Until we address the root of the problem this will ALWAYS be a problem. And we can't do that until Democrat stop chopping their noses off by trying to restrict the rights of the most law abiding demographic of Americans and start focusing on solving that problem via increased access to education, healthcare, and improving the justice system.

Yes, for sure. We want the lower class to be lifting into the middle class, not other way around. It's been going the opposite direction since at least Reagan...

No. They gave the jury a much clearer version of a video clip than they gave the defense. That is incredibly shady and could have altered how the defense handled the case.

Some of you all are why nobody should ever be in a position where you are in court. I've been on a jury before. It was disgusting how much people use their feelings instead of looking at the law and trying to put no emotion into deciding if the prosecution did their part providing enough evidence to convict. Or if the defense showed enough doubt in the evidence provided. Or showed why the law supports why their client should not be convicted.

Either someone broke the law or they did not. The evidence has to be there. You have to follow the law and only use the evidence that has been presented.

this needs to be posted again…..

and again
And again
And again

….until people understand the law and get their emotions out of thier judgements.
This is really a bigger issue than just this thread or this case. Its a polarizing issue that continues to increase in our nation.

Letting life be dictated by emotions and not laws or facts is not healthy…

We don't agree

But that's ok

no actually its not okay. I have now read everything. You told s story based on a time frame. That isnt lying.
His name is mudd because he likes to fling it apparently

he slandered you.
And has the audacity to call others a dunce… but yet doesn't know the definition of lying….

Man.. lets just polarize things even more than they are. Thats the answer…..

I never lied.

He said I lied about gun shows...

Only 22 states require a background in personal gun sales....which gives gun shows their loophole to sale without doing background checks. There is still work to be done there.

He said I lied about my father in law

What I said about my father in law was true, but apparently he must have been bullshiting me because one is required in his state and he isn't the kind of guy to break the law like that. Whatever.

He said I lied about the trial.

I have expressed opinions. Let my emotions run free here and there sure. Just tired of seeing gun violence. Even joked about the prosecutor asking for a mistrial because the Jury is taking so long...which maybe is a good thing that they are...it shows they are taking it seriously and making sure they come back with the right verdict whatever that is...and about the video snafu by the prosecutors.

But, a liar I am not.

I would never accuse anyone of anything, but this MyNameIsMud guy sure is reminding me of some classic PapaG meltdowns.

The kicker was the weird "yt" slang, which no one uses, and seems like it was said by someone who was stupid.

I'd question the premise of this being the only meaning for the word "minstrel,", but I see our old friend PapaG has left us abruptly again. Maybe next time he shows up, as PoliticalExile.

We should be on the lookout for new names.

"Father Gee"

"Padre Gi"

"Dad G"

you'd like to think if he was to come back, he would try to do something completely different, instead of rambling nonsense that comes off like someone who has had too many belts today.

Yeah, I was picturing more of a medieval entertainer for royalty but hey

Or he could add a d and go with MyNameIsMudd. A callback to Samuel Mudd who helped John Wilkes Booth after Lincoln's assassination.

3 days and no verdict

Might get a hung jury

Whatever the verdict is, I hope there will be no riots and lootings of private businesses. A pedo, a violent domestic abuser, and two dumbasses aren't worth all of this trouble.
Bingo!
I love the conversation about gun rights and solutions to violent crime, but the guys involved in this case are all assholes.

I'd kind of like to see them all be punished, including the judge and the prosecutor..

I hope there is no rioting too. Tired of seeing all of that.

At this point your just a hysterical mess and everything you’re saying is based on emotions and not facts. No thanks.
And I still think it is ignorant that you don’t realize this kid wanted to shoot at others which is why he was in possession of the firearm given to him by his friend “Mr. Black”

I don’t care so much about how he was able to do it, or why he was able to do it. He did it… After driving 21 miles.

Prediction: Jury comes back guilty on a few of the charges. The judge then calls a mistrial.

Its not about defending Rittenhouse. Its about not letting emotion interfere with facts and evidence.

Good luck with this man. Most people’s minds are completely binary as soon as politics are injected into a situation. Everything is good vs evil, black vs white. When your brain is too lazy to attempt analyzing gray areas, emotions are all that’s left to act upon and you become the hero fighting bad guys in a fantasy.

36 pages of jury instructions guarantees that no matter what the verdict is the other side will appeal and most likely win.

Right. Seems like they are taking their time to read those 36 pages carefully though. One juror even brought hers home.

I would think a not guilty verdict on a Friday evening would be a bad idea. People are just waiting for their cue to break shit all weekend. Maybe the jury will consider this and wait til Monday, if it is indeed a not guilty verdict.

Maybe. That would certainly make for a bad weekend in Kenosha
