I understand that. But slaves weren't encouraged to own weapons. We didn't start gun control until the slave's descendants started owning weapons in higher numbers, and to prevent that from happening.

I think think they grasped logic just fine. But they also liked power and control, and people don't give up power and control easily.
I do. Myself I support BLM, but I do not support riots with property damage and looting, setting of fires. I think it hurts the cause more than helps especially if leaders advocate for it. That's not leadership!
