Lol obviously the deaf and divers (lol) are not racist for using the okay sign when they are diving or speaking in sign language.

There are a ton of pics with white racists lined up with the “OK” sign. Are people dumb enough they think they all just are doing an OK sign together for the photo? The stupidity never ceases to amaze me

Im not, today is the first time ive heard that the ok, alls good sign is racist. I used it growing up and so have my kids, along with the peace sign and middle finger. I suppose thumbs ip is also racist. Tiring.

In my opinion, just letting racists be is the exact wrong thing to do.

Racists and racism needs to be called out. Letting racists do their thing in the corner is very dangerous. It needs to be confronted and eradicated. We have let racists be for the eternity of time, and racism is still here along with all the tragedies it has caused and continues to cause. It’s not going away until we really change as a society

calling them out is not the same as letting them dictate our culture and the meaning behind our communication methods.

Other than some racists saying it so, i and others use the symbol on a daily basis to communicate. Thumbs up and okay have long been part of construction communication, diver communication, communication for people with disabilities.
To give in to this is just ludicrous to me and i refuse to.
In that very quote it says they use things like this to spread, but guess what, several of us only had this spread to us from you. Until then, we would keep using it for communication and had been just fine. So the spread is actually coming through the fear of those who oppose them. Its you who are spreading their ways.
Media is overpublicising a very minor thing and because of that its now the way. but only becsuse you are buying in. Not because thats what it is.

Reality is the okay sign is a symbol of communication meaning okay.
The only way it changes is if you allow it to be. Not them. They just proposed it. But you are the one conforming to their desires. Not me.
